hi all kiwis hows it going in our wee part of the world,just a wee note to ask... where and if i can buy a thing so i can use canon/nikon ( i know dirty word sry about that) on my k5????as good pentax lens are sooo dear here in nz
also hope you guys got some good gear from santa
i got the 20-40mm a few months ago (early gift from santa) and luv it

i am also getting the 20-40mm should be here in a few weeks (silver one) beleave it or not my brand new one costed me $1475 and i am also getting a AF360FGZ ii flash cant wait to i get them

i got the 100mmD-FA pentax lens,do you know if i can get or could i try and make a diffuser for the ringflash?? so i can make the light softer so i dont see the semi-ring light in some shots???

thanks for all the comments,also thinking of getting a 360 flash(quite like the LED LIGHT) built in as i could use it for focus and make a diffuser for it or still get the ringflash ??????

hi thanks for your comment...does the lens hood do its job in the rain???
a bit worried about the hood being too small to stop rain drops going onto the front glass

hi all just a wee note to ask...
thinking of getting a 20-40mm
but wanted to know since its metal
how is it when its out in the cold (like -3c)
does it freeze up (if you know what i mean)
or am i better to get a 16-85mm

i want a ringflash for my macro shots as iam only about 30cm away from subject and most of the time not much light (as iam blocking most of it in the bush)
i have tryed a LED torch but shutter speed is too slow to get a very sharp shot even on my tripod with a bit of wind
i had a 90mm tamron macro with a ringflash that went onto the thead of the lens
and i was hoping to get one that dont go onto the front thead as with the wieght of the flash going in and out really worked the drive in the lens
pentax make a ringflash that goes on to where the hood goes soo it doesnt move when i focus in and out

hi all hows it going....just a wee note to ask
next month i will have approx $2500-$3000 to spend on gear
i shoot with a k5 got a 100mm pentax lens and a tamron 28-200mm
i hope to get a pentax ring flash$1100
i also know someone who can sell me a 16-50mm 2.8 $900
soo what else should i buy
i shoot macro,landscapes,etc
i would like a big tele but i was told sigma 150-500 not made for pentax anymore

in about 1.5 months i want to buy a pentax ringflash and lots of ppl have told me to buy out of nz..but i havent got a visa soo if i payed money into someone bank account could some one buy it for me and send it down to me when its here???
