Well its April 14, 2021 and still no update to Digital Camera Utility 5 for Big Sur. I would think 5 or 6 months is enough time to fix the problem. I hardly ever use Digital Camera Utility 5 except for Pixel Shift Resolution images.
I don't know of any other software that handles PRS images. I'm not happy with Digital Camera Utility 5. Its a pain to use.

I have been using c8 for about 3 months. The first month it didn't support k3ii raw.
They now want another $99 to update if purchased after oct 30. They even let c7 update for the same price. They would not give me an update even though I bought it sept 24 & it took -month to get k3ii support. Also the OpenGL crashed the program & it would restart & crash again.they finally did a script that reset the settings so it would start. An update seemed to help. C8 severely lacked support for most of the Pentax lenses. Also I have never gotten any response from tech support for the bugs I had reported. I had hoped c9 would rectify that, but still has the same limited set. So I'm not wiling to dump another $99 on top of the $299 I just spend for marginal improvements & very poor Pentax lenses support.
It may work for you, but I'm not inclined to recommend a company that treats its customers this way. I don't have time to beta test their software.

Unfortunately my k3 ii falls within the recalled serial # & since I got it in May outside B&H's return widow. I haven't had any trouble with it. I was to pleased the the conversation i had with Pentax on their call line, especially when they said I had to foot the shipping bill to the repair service since they have deemed it "warranty work". Its a factory defect & quality control problem- not a random part failure. I haven't talked to precision yet, since I had a shoot at the Thai Embassy this week & other work next couple of weeks then off the Europe. So I'm faced with hoping it continues to work & have my old pentax kd10 as backup or taking a gamble on the turn around. There doesn't seem to be much feed back here on the repairs/turn around time.

The K3 II manual says that you can use AA batteries, but I couldn't find any where in the manual what battery holder is used.
I have seen the D-BH109 mentions for other models, but nothing about the K3 ii. Will it work?
thanks

I haven't been able to tell if the battery is failing on my k3 ii or something else is killing my battery life. Twice now I went through 2/3 of my battery in ~ 1-2 hours of use taking only about ~50 shots. I strongly suspect that its the GPS unit thats consuming the power. I'm not using it for continuous route logging, just "on". Since this occurred even faster when I was mostly indoors I think what is happening that the GPS looses signal in buildings and the algorithm used for "finding" the signal consumes a lot of processing power and has a high priority. So rather than timing out or reducing its questing time, it just keeps cranking away. Has any else had this problem?
thanks

Yes me too. I have had my k3ii -wk & have a Pentax 100 m macro coming tomorrow. This weekend for sure I'll take the time to play with it. I have had an old Pentax 100m macro I used on a MEsuper, but could not justify the expense of a new one when I got my k10. But with the $ 300 off sale, I couldn't resist.
