My 2 cents on the F28 - sharp, particularly from f4 and above, and still very usable at f2.8. Also quick and precise autofocus on my Kx - great for street photography.
Good luck with your purchase connor.nolan - let us know how it all goes.

Not an easy shot to take in low light - very nice.

What's more serene than the expression on her face? :-) Nice portrait.

I'd look for two lenses - a nice F28/2.8 or FA28/2.8 (I have the F, and love it) and an FA 50/1.4 (hopefully my next purchase). Used, the 28mm should be around $150-$200 and the 50mm just over $200.

Hi, I'm a newbie in these forums, so bear with me if I make a mistake in my first post :-) Loving these 28mm shots in this forum....such a great focal length for aps-c. Looking forward to seeing what my recently acqired Pentax F 28/2.8 can do on full frame eventually though. It's a nice sharp lens with great colours and quick auto focus. I have two shots of Wynnum pier here (Queensland, Australia), shot with a K-x. First is in low light (f4.0 1/25 ISO200 handheld). Second was a little over exposed I felt, so I did a bit of post processing (f7.1 1/80 ISO200 handheld). I've also shot a few with this lens in regular daylight and the colours are very natural. ---------- Post added 05-29-15 at 08:47 AM ---------- |
