Good pics. I have a 28mm, 35X80, 90mm flat field. 80X210 and 500mm Tamron adaptall2 lens and a 50mm pentax lens. One of my questions is, are these older, 35mm lens good enough to use with the digital camera or will the new digital zooms overshadow the older collection? They were great lens when used with 35mm film cameras.
From reading about this I think they will be manual focus only.

I'm in the 70+ age bracket and looking for one last digital system to make the best pictures of family, pets,vacations athletic games, etc. I have tried digital compact and 12X cameras and find I lose a lot of pictures because of slowness of operation. I am hoping a DSLR will change this.
I have owned & used a Pentax K1000 and a WR90 (film cameras) with good results in the past.
I am considering the Pentax K2000, Olympus e432, Nikon D4- and Canon xt. I joined this forum to find the "true story" since most reviews sound the same.
