Not to long ago, i decided to jump ship from pentax to canon. so i am now offering my pentax IST DS for sale.
[link]
all of hte pictures of it can be found at that web address
as far as the camera goes, there are a few minor problems.
1. the focus screen has some specks that dont want to come off.
2. there is a minor scuffing on the posterior of the camera at the top left corner. [link]
3. the wheel that controls aperature and shutterspeed does what it wants, however the way to compensate for this is by the button on the top right corner of this view of the camera. [link]
the finger prints have been cleaned off of the LCD. and i have cleaned it up to the best of my abilities. as you can see it was just sitting gathering some dust lol
i'll sell everything you see in the album, plus a 1 gig card, and a set of rechargable batteries for $450.00 which includes your shipping and handling.
the lenses that come with the camera are as follows
pentax M smc f/1.7 Zenfolio | Larry Scott Photography | camera stuff for sale
takumar 135mm f/2.5 Zenfolio | Larry Scott Photography | camera stuff for sale
vivitar 75-205 f/3.8 Zenfolio | Larry Scott Photography | camera stuff for sale
also included with the vivitar is the 2x teleconverter
feel free to post any questions about the camera and/or lenses.
i'll accept check, money order, or paypal

if i do get hem done professionally, i get them done at either mpix or ez prints.
usually i just print them and process them on my own.

well the camera is 6 mega pixels, so it does go a bit over the limit a bit, i was thinking of trying a lower Dpi for the bigger ones.

My printer prints 5x7 and 4x6 nicely, but when i attempt to print an 8.5 by 11 of an action photo. it doesnt print all that sharply. i use a canon pixma ip6000d printer and my camera is the ist ds. and im also printing at 300 dpi

if hoya buys pentax and quits the camera business. i'll just enjoy the pentax gear while it lasts. i currently have like 5 lenses, that are still in great shape. and im sure id probably pick up a k10d as well . as long as my bodies hold out and pentax bodies are still availible, im not going anywhere. as a very last resort, id probalby revert to canon for their L glass
