Your question should be in the K-30/K-50 thread.
Anyway:
Replacing the internal battery see HERE
Also for which types of battery.
If you don't want to solder, then clipping the old one brings you the benefit that you can leave the main D-LI109 inside without it being sucked empty because the internal battery tries very hard to charge itself.
If you replace it, you can do the clipping method as well, this way you leave the two feet soldered on the mainboard. This makes it easier to solder the new battery
onto those two feet. You fix the new battery with bluetack (or epoxy) so it stays in place which makes soldering much easier.
I recommend the old style leaded solder, ideal is solder without flux and then flux/resin (colophony / kalifornia flux). If you have pure colophony, you can dilute it in alcool and then add an aspirin (no kidding). CAIG Rosin flux is ready made and excellent but expensive.
The reason for this ancient soldering method: You can apply solder without rosin much better, there is no rosin burning away but the rosin is applied in tiny amounts to the to be soldered parts. Makes life much easier. The tiny amount of lead for such a short work I find non-critical. But have a window open and a fan blowing air over the to be soldered parts into the direction of the window.

Has anybody noticed that we are undergoing pretty intense inflation. The cost to power and heat my house is up well over 60%. The twin pack of bread that we buy has increased from $2.79 to $5.89 (111%) in under a year. My property taxes are up 35%. Gasoline is up a 50% if not more etc, etc, etc. On top of this our state legislators are about to give themselves a 30% raise.
The cost of the camera did not go up. The value of our currencies has gone down.

I purchased mine from a Japanese merchant via eBay.
This was about six seven years ago, and the fact I remember little about the transaction must mean it was ‘routine’.
I paid. They shipped. I received.

Assuming the seller is able to provide all the necessary information, as well as attaching a US Customs and Border Protection declaration form to the package, you should have no trouble. If the package value is under $800, it will likely be processed with no additional fees. Internet Purchases | U.S. Customs and Border Protection Preview
If the Japanese sellers are reputable, I expect they are very familiar with the required documentation.

Japanese sellers on Ebay are generally well regarded and are the most likely source of this relatively rare lens. Hopefully a US based member can advise on customs duties etc. Here in the UK we would have to pay customs duty, sales tax and a fee from our postal service for handling the transaction. Japanese sellers are unlikely to get involved in false declarations to help you avoid such costs.

Absolutely no reason to apologize Ivan! Appreciate your posts in any thread:) ---------- Post added 05-14-22 at 12:28 PM ----------
Thanks for your comment!
I got my Q7 together with the 02 and 06 zooms (bought is as an open box item at the BIC camera outlet in Tokyo).
Both are good lenses and the combination is very good if you want to travel light.
But the 01 prime is a much better lens ... if you are willing to "zoom with your feet":).
I guess that around 70% of my Q7 shots are taken with the 01 lens.

Love their colors. Good shot. I understand the dilemma of trying the get multiple subjects in focus. You did well with this shot.

Me too. I think the scenery is a bit flat (yet still quite nice) without something on the foreground, especially with a wide angle lens.
