I don't know why when people show print's for comparison photo they show the different format's and each with it's own photo. even in the one right above, same woman but each shot is different. If you really want to compare I would think that the same image would be done with each format and in the same light.

I don't see all the voodoo in photo's, film or digital, that other people see. So better image quality? Sure I like it but don't need it. I like the way a camera feel's in my hands and I like the way they function. My RB has a mirror lock up then a release for the shutter, I love listening for that sound I can't really hear! Have a Yashica 635 that's terrible quiet too. My 645 Pentax doesn't have that but it feels great in my hands! A good photographer using the same film will probably get better shot's with his 35mm than I with my med format but I don't care, I like my med format equip!

A lens like that, if I had the money and even considered buying it, I'd buy it. Might be to much money but I've never even seen one before, no even a clue they existed. Go price other prime 600mm lenses, that is a bargain!

I am not a studio photographer but did fool with it a bit. Got a set of light's and set up in my living room. I have an el cheapo flash meter and used a white sheet as a background. With the sheet back ground, it seemed that I could do a small an aperture opening as I wanted. I don't recall the shutter speed I used but the flash meter gave me an aperture of f11. Shot at that and the photo's came out really really sharp. In a studio I suspect it's fairly easy with an artificial back ground to use as ssmall an opening as you can. If you want boka, can't that be accomplished by choice of back ground ans a small aperture opening?

Got some film back yesterday. Been a while since I've sent any in. Like shooting my 645, been awhile. This is my Bodie pointing a practice bird. Think I used a 55-110mm lens. |

I'd say goodbye to 4 frames. I tried with one of my film camera's to rewind the film. I'd read how to do it and still leave the leader out so you could go back to the roll later. I can't do it. For 4 frame's I wouldn't expend the effort doing it.

I've only got one pentax camera, only one I ever owned. 645 NII. Since going digital I don't use film much any more. Keep some in the fridge to get out the film cameras now and then. Have a yashica 635 that I love, a Mamiya RB67, love it too. F5 Nikon but don't use it at all any more. Take it out now and then just to hold it. I'm a dog guy, bird dog guy! Right npw I have two FDSB E. Setters, Squirt and Bodie and an FDSB Red Setter, Stormy. I always feel obligated to post photo's of my boy's on new site's!
