If your computer opens the dng file can't you just import them into Preview and export them as jpgs?

As someone mentioned earlier, even without using a computer you can just use the camera itself to batch convert DNG RAW's (a folder at a time if you want) and then save them onto your SD card as JPEGs. The K-70 manual shows how to do it (p 92-93).
On Windows, Faststone Image viewer can also do a decent job batch converting DNG to JPEG (Menu >Tools > Batch Convert Selected images): FastStone Image Viewer - Powerful and Intuitive Photo Viewer, Editor and Batch Converter |

There’s a relatively inexpensive app for the Mac called GraphicConverter by Lemke Software. It can open DNG files (and almost any other graphic format) and save them as jpegs (or anything else). There’s a little bit of a learning curve associated with it, but it will do what you want. When I got it, it was about $40.
P.S. He’s got tutorials on the use of the app on YouTube.

In camera conversion of DNG then iPhone tweaking can be a great workflow. If you end up with a decent JPEG or TIF the apple software can do wonders. While DCU and/or LR give you lots of tools they can be daunting in the beginning. There is no ‘right way’ to get the image you want.

I have over 6000 sorted and cataloged slides dating as far back as 1954. Some are in surprisingly good shape and some are on it's very last leg. I used to scan them on an Epson 4990 photo with varying success. Lately I have used a different approach, take pictures of them with the 100 macro, works very well and is fast. I'll post a picture of the setup, it's very simple, I'll also post a few of the results: |

Both manual focus and zoom are done with lens rings. This camera also does focus peaking to help manual focus.

Make sure you get the correct eyepiece barrel size for your adapter. Common sizes are 1.25, 2.00 and 0.96 inches. 1.25 inch is probably the most common size but you never know.

Are those a short variety of sunflowers or black-eyed Susans growing in that long bed in front of the house?
As red is a bit unusual for farmhouses (I only know of one near here), I was curious, but I see in the picture that the house is white. Only the roof is red, or more like hot pink. I like the big front porch.
Is that a really old house that has been completely refurbished, or one of those new houses designed to look old? Usually the windows make it easy to tell, but in this case the downstairs windows have a very modern shape, but the windows in those tiny gables, and the design of those gables look old.
Nice picture -- see how many things it got me wondering about!

Beautifully done. Nice to see a house nestled in among the trees and growing fields. Well executed.
Many thanks,
Antonio

Hello, all! I'm new to the forums (and photography in general) and thought I would post some of the first photos I've taken with my K-50! :D I have absolutely no experience with a DSLR and previously just took pictures with my cellphone, so this is quite a change. I did about 1.5 years of research before pulling the trigger on my k-50 (the bright red one) and ultimately decided on it because of the weather sealing and the huge variety of lenses available. I've had my camera for less than a week, but I'm absolutely thrilled with what it can do, and how (relatively) simple it makes it to learn (although i still have a ways to go). First two were taken with my kit lens (and were some of the first photos taken that weren't just a blurred mess), the last with the 200mm.

Just got home from an awesome Saturday night at Speedway City in Adelaide, a whole heap of various racing and finished off with a demo derby. I scored the 10-17mm fisheye on the Bay for a steal and only picked it up from the Post Office this morning. |
