the k10d beep on focus but you can't hear it if you shoot from the hip, the beep is not loud enough.

The AE-L button lock the auto exposure of the camera, you meter the light on the part of the scene you want bye pressing half the shutter, you press the AE-L button until the * appear in the viewfinder, then you can release the shutter and take a shot of what you want, the light meter is lock on the previous metering

When using external flash don not deploy the camera flash. Simply put the external flash in manual mode and set the flash in the camera menu to auto or forced flash.

Yes he can download the software, but the remote assistant software do not work in with the K200D

You are right, i always use center or one of the 11 points. So in center focus mode, wich one is faster, KM or K20D?

For the KM the autofocus system is TTL Phase-matching 5-point wide autofocus system (SAFOX), 5 cross sensors
For the K20D the autofocus system is TTL Phase-matching 11-point wide autofocus system (SAFOX VIII)
So, is it better 11 points and slower or 5 points and faster?

I try it, the jpeg is there but a jpeg of only 1 mb, not enough to replace raw+jpeg or jpeg alone

The k200d can not be use with remote assistant, it's why the software is not include in the box

I think that k200d can not be use in remote assistant
for the second part You can use the Cable Switch CS-205 or the Remote Control F

Thank all for the comments, for the first one i agree but it's hard to chose, the sky is nice, the water is nice and the rocher is nice, when i see this light on the rocher i just take the shot
