Thank you so very much for all this useful information. After you had brought this to my attention I did some research over the last few hours and makes more sense to me now. I understand what you were getting at. I was also reading about what you basically just said so it just further more points out your correct statement. With this being said I'm excited to go out and shoot using different settings. I printed this up on canvas 30x 20. Lots and lots of people seem to like it. Thanks again so very much for all your useful information much appreciated.

Thnks. Yeah you will see just hundreds and hundreds of them in areas and then in some areas there isn't any is quite crazy.

Thank you very much. Yeah mountainsides of Aspens do go hand in hand. I'm glad I could capture that.

Thanks so much!
Well I chose F-16 ( may sound crazy) due to the fact that one time I read that the best F stops for landscape is somewhere between 11 and 16 so as I was out shooting a few days for whatever reason or another I chose F-16 and was and have been happy with the results I get from that so I guess that's just kind of my go to. With this being said at F-8 or 11 or so I will get the same DOF? ---------- Post added 11-11-15 at 05:45 PM ----------
I'm impressed also. I literally almost turned around a couple of time. So glad I didn't though. I have this photo up in a local hotel for sale and it's a big hit. I haven't sold it yet but a lot of people like it so hopefully one day.

Thank you so very much. Yes Colorado is amazing for photo shoots and yes we have lots of these high alpine type lakes. ---------- Post added 11-11-15 at 12:00 PM ---------- Some very serious grindage indeed.

To get this shot it was a 3.5 hour hike in on the Deluge Lake trail in E. Vail, Colorado. 3,000 +/- vertical feet climb in just a couple of miles. Was a nice cool fall day so making the hike perfect. I never did this hike before and was wondering if I was ever going to get there. The trail was very narrow and I saw not one person the whole way up. The trail was also very thick in the forest so I never really had an idea of where this Lake was or how much further I had to go. When the trail finally opened up I was like "ok I'm just about there" well as you may or may not know when out hiking its always "oh its just over this one ridge" then another and another and so on. Then finally I made it. Was well worth it. The views were A-mazing!!

This shot was takin in E. Vail, Colorado on a local hiking trail. This photo was a last minute "oh this might look cool" shot as I took lots of others and turned out to be the best one. The leaves were changing very fast by the day.

Was very cold and very dark when doing this night shot. This area is on top of Vail pass and I have been there to shoot during the day hours and have been really getting into star trail shots so I thought this spot would make a great shot with the water, the reflections, the night sky and the mountains in the distance.

This was shot at the Vail farmers market. Who could resist a face like this?
