Tas - Yes, very much looking forward to the step-up from the K-r, although I may miss its compactness a little! 2 x 32Gb cards is what I was thinking. Any recommendations on which ones?
Gaweidert - 45 years use is quite an endorsement for a lens. I think my copy is from the late sixties so probably a similar age. I love the build quality - I'm sure it'll last another 45!

Tas - Thanks for all the K-1 tips. Funny you mention the square crop mode - that's something I'm especially looking forward to. I'm imagining it's going to feel a little like having a 6x6 medium format... maybe?!

Hello all - it’s my first time posting on the forum.
I finally ordered the K-1 with grip tonight after selling several lenses, my K-r, my MX, a laptop and numerous other things to raise the funds. I’m very excited as I’m lucky enough to have the FA31, FA77, A50 1.7, Super Tak 55 f1.8 and K28 f3.5 Shift lenses to play with when it arrives! I’ve also held on my K1000 to keep them company :)
Any hints and tips on getting the most out of the K-1 these lenses gratefully received!
