Hi,
I want to move up to HSS with my strobing, and I`m wondering if my thinking is correct- I want to fire a Godox AD200 from my K-3 using a Cactus V6 II trigger. Will this combo work? I`ve seen some guy on youtube using this setup on Fuji and it fired just fine in HSS. I`m aware that the TTL is not really an option. So my question is: will I be able to fire AD200 in HSS from my K-3 using Cactus V6II mounted on my camera? And no second trigger on AD200. One camera, one trigger, one flash.
Cheers

No, this was taken with 1/160 sec at f8. For the body I used a studio strobe with 40-ish cm beauty dish hanging directly above it, and for the head a bare speedlite. Don`t ask for power outputs, I don`t remember that. BigMackCam, sorry to bring the bad news, but I tried that sound photo thing and it works only on the phone. So I`m afraid you`re left with your imagination on this one.

Thanks!
By the way, I`ve seen recently on a smartphone an app to make "music photo" where in addition to making a photograph the phone also recorded a short music clip. It could work nicely here I guess.

Yeah, EM-2 custom to be precise. The color is "50 shades of blue" I believe :P

While looking for a subject to photograph the other day I remembered that I have this beauty of a guitar lying around:
This last one is NSFW, dangerously sexy lines:
A joy to work with! She didn`t make one sound when I was fiddling around with the lights ;-)
Hope you enjoy her as much as I do.
Cheers

Same here, and I must admit it is a strange feeling when you take a picture of a camera that you use everyday to take pictures with.
Glad you like it!

Decided to change wallpaper on my PC. So why not make one myself? Here are the results:
Just quick and dirty, not much planning and PP went into this.

I guess you can call this picture a self- portrait. Sometimes you just have to model yourself, if only with your hands. |

I`m using K-3.
That appears to be the right route for me, as it is not too expensive and have really good reviews here. Until I have an opportunity to test this lens I`m not going to jump ahead and buy anything.

Great article, definitely gives me something to think about. I always thought that a great photo differs from an average one not by the megapixel count, but by character, fifth element, pixie dust, you name it. It's just that I haven't seen this magic in my shot. Maybe not yet.

Thank you all for helpful ideas.
As for DA 70- I may have an opportunity to test it in the near future, so I`ll see if it suits me. I know it is a great performer outdoors.
The DA*55 was just an example- I don`t really care that much about autofocus noise or size of the lens. So, I was thinking about Samyang 85, maybe this would be the sweet spot for me.
That`s what I was thinking. As I mostly do things by trial and error, my progress is a bit slow with PP. And, what is worse, I don`t have any "examples" in my head, I just make every photo seperatyly and decide on the go if it looks good or not. Maybe it is time to invest more time in learning Photoshop magic. Quote: Great idea, but I don`t use that software. Have you got any good, comprehensive tutorials for photoshop? Digging through all the trash on youtube is painful.
