As I'm in the Scottish highlands, I decided t pop up to Ffordes, and picked up a used FA 150 f/2.8, on my way back hung around Loch Oich as the sun descended...

5. Slightly chichèd shot as everyone seems to do this, but this is the first time I have been here without a minibus full of workshop attendees taking it turns to take the same shot... DA28 - 45

6. As I came down from Shooting on Glencoe ski area, having fallen on getting off the lift, my right thumb hurts a bit, but am fine otherwise as is all my camera gear, noticed a heron looking for food, didn't have time to put on a longer lens, but I think it added to the shots FA45 - 85

if you mean the DFA90 macro, it is not a 1:1 macro if that is important to you. The A120 or FA120 would be better for bugs and small objects.

The problem with that is that it would freeze sales of the 645z and all the distributors holding inventory would be pretty pissed about that.

I just couldn't help myself. After shooting medium format back in the day with a Pentax 67II and a Mamiya RZ67 Pro II......I couldn't help myself and make excuses any longer.
Tonight I went ALL IN and ordered a 645Z with the DA 25mm lens and a DFA 35mm lens .......I really, really , really......Broke the Bank !
Will be selling at least 1 of my K-1's and a couple lenses.....but Hey.... a guy only lives once !

BTW.....I bought very lightly used. The body has 1100 clicks and the 25mm lens is mint in box..... I purchased from a private sale in Japan.
I feel like I got a very good deal at $12K

The A120 and Fa are great performers as macro with 1:1 magnification. The pentax ring flash is quite expensive but there are alternatives brand like yong nuo ring flash or sunpack ringflash in manual mode. I am using the yongnuo brand and very affordable. Most or all my macros are shot in M mode so have never use a pttl or auto.. just me:) I use other metz flashlight and pentax flash light as well. For me, flash light is essential and part of my macro works. its on diffusisng the light, maybe you will need to pay more attention on macro photography. bluestringer has some excellent shots from his ringflash, maybe some reference to find out how he did it. I have not gotten good result yet but hav started trying using ring flash, just starting to explore. I use a single flash gun too in normal days with a diffuser ... some of my works...

More from Oregon, again all from my Yashicamat shooting either expired Portra 400NC or 160NC. Portra really suits Oregon I think.

Neist Point, II

Neist Point, the most western point of the Isle of Skye, together with its lighthouse are among the best known landmarks of the island. In this photograph, I composed juxtaposing the stony heavy cliff's mass with the feather light mass of the pink cloud above it, using a thin line of white mist to separate the two parts of the image. To complete the geometry of this composition, both of the cliff's and the cloud's shapes together contribute to create a triangle pointing at the lighthouse.

With the Pentax 645z and the 80-160mm f/4.5. Thank you for viewing! Best,

Vieri

It's not that the 67 300/4 has terrible optics, it's just that the lens really could use a tripod mount for proper support.
