Beautiful. Trying not to hate you for your weather. Two feet of gray snow and cabin fever here.

All your comments were helpful. Thanks so much. I can only guess the card I had was defective. Never would format. Never seen by the app. So I got a Flucard. Took about five minutes to set up. This will certainly meet my needs for now. I want to use it for light painting, so I am not looking for speed. Very helpful to get live view through the lens while I am at subject position holding the light. Jpegs come up in a few seconds to confirm exposure. Put me in the happy camper category.

Tried that. The card won't format in the camera. I read comments on here about the Flucard such as "The Flucard is joke.: That did not inspire me.

I have searched the forum and seen lots of complaints on various methods. Bought an Eye Fi Mobi off Amazon. I see the cards have been discontinued now. I just get a "Memory Card Error" message when I insert it in either slot. The Keenai app hangs up after I enter the serial number, possibly because it can't see the card. Is it just me or is this a total crock of ___ and a 7K camera should have this all built in seamlessly? End of rant. Is there ANY way to just get a small jpeg to the iPad for cursory review?

Not a big deal, but I notice that when I receive a like, my like total does not increment anymore.

I do not think you will be unhappy with either lens. I own both.

Nice work, Mike. Looks like a lot of old glass is still up to making great images. ---------- Post added 02-26-16 at 03:05 PM ---------- My first question would be are you into shallow dof wide open. That is the forte of the 67/105 and it is legendary. It is not much of a tele as far as reach though. 120 macro A has a great reputation and not just for macro. 150 A is a very small and light kens which is double the reach of your 75. 200A goes for a song and is also small and light. I would say most of the legacy primes are great lenses stopped down. Coatings are not the latest, so plan on a good lens hood and watch shooting into the sun.

Thinking he is wanting one for the screen and not the eyepiece. If so, Hoodman is good.

Thanks so much. Difficult at this time of year to get a nice sky as it's been so clear. I managed to catch some clouds for a change.

Feeling that some people are confused as I have had no issue at all with the 75 and 135 ls lenses on 645z. Just to go over the simple and obvious, you must connect the flash to the socket on the lens, not to the camera. If this is a hotshoe flash, it cannot be placed on the hotshoe without doing something to break that connection. The second thing is that the leaf shutter has to be cocked before each exposure. The cocking mechanism is on the front of the lens near the leaf shutter speeds.
When I use this on the 645z, the shutter speed is displayed on the back of the camera as "LS." The leaf shutter must be cocked. When the shutter is released, the camera's focal plane shutter opens fully, then the leaf shutter opens and the flash fires. Then the focal plane closes. Then the leaf shutter must be recocked for the next exposure.
To test, put the flash ten feet from your main subject. Set the camera to f8. The shutter speed shoud read as LS. Set the lens shutter to 1/500 and cock it. You should have some flash illumination on your subject. Adjust the aperture or flash power to correct the exposure on the subject. Your bg is probably dark. Set the leaf shutter to a slower setting to lighten the bg.
All pretty easy, but if you are not connecting the flash to the lens only and cocking the leaf shutter everytime - it will not work. Hope that helps someone.

I would suggest using a radio transmitter if you want the flash off camera. You need a short cable for the lens x-sync socket to the radio transmitter. On the other end, a cable from the receiver to the flash. Same as any other off camera flash setup except that you must connect to the flash socket on the lens and not the one on the camera. Obviously, this is all manual exposure. You will be increasing from the native sync speed of the camera (very slow) to up to 1/500th of a second. Just set up a test and you will be comfortable soon. Remember that you must cock the leaf shutter before each exposure.
