I saw that I got charged for another month. When I went through all of the settings, I couldn't find out where to turn that off.

I'm considering getting this lens, has the focus problems been resolved at all? Also if it hasn't is it a lens that I can keep on getting returning until one copy works well?

Could sigma fix a problem like this? I really like the lens, and would pay to have it fixed, I just don't know if its fixable?

So is there really any fix besides just having it in focus at one focal distance? Or just always shoot at f8?

I’ll give it a try. Does fine tuning it affect all focal lengths equally? I was messing with it at about 8 feet but hadn’t tried it 40+ feet. Also I couldn’t find k50 can you debug the k50?

Sorry posting a similar post, but after investigating a bit more I have more information, so I was hoping a new post with a more refined information would be allowed. I tested my sigma at 100, 200, and 300 at f4, f8, and f11 for each of the focal length and I noticed that the part of photo that was closer was more in focus. I adjusted the AF Fine Adustment on my k-50 to Apply One -10, and while its better its still not perfect as you can see in the pictures. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't think I can go beyond -10 unless there is a trick I dont know about? I have full resolution pictures on drive: Update your browser to use Google Drive - Google Drive Help . I can upload the pictures on to here if that would be preferred, just not sure how to do batch cropping in lightroom. Its an old lens, so definitely not still under warranty.

How would you suggest I test the sharpness?

So when you say OK, are you saying that my lens is not as sharp as this model should be?

What do you mean front or back focusing, can I fix it? When you say 1/800 is that for handheld shooting or with a tripod?

I was shooting with a borrowed Sigma 100-300 F4 APO EX DG, and it didn’t seem sharp at all. I was using it with a 1.4 sigma converter, and I was wondering could the converter “mess” with the in body stabilization, or is my copy just less sharp? I’ll post pictures when I get home from work.

If it hasn't been used in 5 years, but works when I purchase it it works, is it safe to assume the SDM isn't damaged as of yet?
And if I convert it its guaranteed to work?
And k-50 can use the screw drive?
Thank you so much seventhdr

---------- Post added 10-12-18 at 09:31 PM ----------

I guess my real question is, if I buy it and the motor fails, am I almost guaranteed to still have a usable lens? I really want the lens but 200 is still a bit of money for me.

As the title suggest, I found a used 50-135 F/2.8 SMC DA * ed if sdm. The guy bought it in 2008 and switched to Nikon in 2013, so it hasn't been used since. He says its still works and optically and cosmetically its in great shape. But I've read to many horror stories about the sdm failing that I'm nervous to buy it even though its selling for 200. So I was wondering, If I buy it and it does fail, am I guarenteed to be able to convert it to screw drive (I shoot with with a k50, not sure if it matters)
