Yes, just some of the pictures. I posted this one, because it looks prettier than the others. The camera was on the tripod, but I didn't use a remote.
I've been thinking about it since yesterday and maybe the reflection is not the right word. I might have moved the camera just slightly when I pressed the shutter release. I kind of remember seeing two images on the LCD when I slightly moved the camera. I initially thought the first image was the result of LCD being exposed to a bright image for an extended period of time and it wouldn't show in the actual picture, but it did apparently. I can possibly test it again by taking sun's pictures with the same filter.

Thanks for everyone's inputs. Yes, it's a filter with Mylar on the outside and black on the inside. Apparently it's a reflection as I understand from the comments. 😃

Some of the partial eclipse pictures I took using one of those inexpensive filters turned out with double images. Does anybody have any idea what causes that? (Pentax K-S2 f/5.8 1/400 ISO-400 Manual exposure)

Thanks guys. I'll try all that advice one by one.
Just for the record, I used to own a film SLR camera (Nikon), and I still own it I guess. 😃 Since then I always used SLR-like digital cameras from Fuji and Panasonic. I was mainly using this Pentax in the preset Action setting, which sets the shutter speed to 800 most of the time.

Wow! Yes, more answer than I expected, but among them the reference to Pentax 150~450mm, which I was hoping for. Thanks!

WPRESTO, you were right about the 55-300 lens. I'm not getting the results I expected. Actually, I think the picture quality is not much better than my Panasonic FZ-200. What lens are you using for bird photography?

Thanks for the warm welcoming messages.
@WPRESTO: My main goal is not to produce calendar quality photos, but to capture 5" birds from 100 feet behind a couple of layers of leaves and branches for identification purposes, but I wouldn't mind if the photos turn out fantastic. :) This lens has a quick focus feature that helps fine tune the focus after the autofocus does its job as best as it can. Not a fast focusing lens though; that's the only downside for me.

Hello everybody,
Recently bought a K-S2 with an HD DA 55-300mm lens, primarily for bird photography.
I live in Clearwater, Florida.
Best,
Dauntless
