Some products (mostly sealants) can be layered. So no, it does't just become one coat. Though you get diminishing returns after about a half dozen IMHO.

Hoooooo boy I could talk about detailing all day long.

Some of the OTC Meguiar's stuff isn't half bad. A lot of their "Professional" line stuff is actually really nice stuff and priced well.

As others in the thread have mentioned, sealants are real popular. Blackfire Wet Diamond seems to be really popular now. (I have some, haven't tried it yet) and as always Zaino is a favorite for a lot of folks.

I also agree with claying the car as per everyone else. I just worked on a mid 90's Supra this weekend. I washed it, clayed it, did a 1 step polish and sealed it with Zaino All-In-One.

Came out real well. I didn't do any interior work on it though.

They're drawing parallels between compact camera and compact car. I don't think Smart's are ugly so I guess it's in the eye of the beholder.

ShutterSnitch IS cool. If the iPad could talk Ad Hoc to avoid having to have a wireless router with you it would be real sweet. I do have an airport express, but of course it's not battery powered or anything... I use it in conjunction with my older Airport Extreme so that I have a 5.0GHz "N" network for my faster devices and a b/g network off the Express for my iPhone and other non N stuff.

Works real well bridged.

Yep, need a 'mobile wireless router'. That's pretty much useless at that point.

Should work for what?

I don't know that the iPad can communicate Ad Hoc, and even if so Eye Fi would have to make an App to "receive" pictures on the iPad via Ad Hoc. Might as well just use the iPad camera connection kit at that point.

Standard? When did Apple market the iPad as a "photographers companion"?

The Answer: They Didn't. SD Slot isn't standard because they gave it ample internal memory. (depending on your needs)

Why don't cameras have SD, CF, XD, MemStick slots all standard? "OH MY GOD THE EXPANSION/PROFIT POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!"

As far as your concerns with a USB connection on the iPad, the juice required to charge the iPad isn't available on every USB port. Using the dock connector with a power plug ensures everyone can charge it. Could they have done the same with USB? I guess so. But the dock connector works just fine for the MILLIONS of iPod/iPad/iPhone's out there. Why change it? Because it's not "USB"? Meh.

I'm seeing the Green/Black ones for as little as $245. I sorta want one, my Olympus P&S isn't that great. I see you are from Canuckistan, so that price is probably spot on. (Dunno)

Yes, yes. Look at her watch too. On the 3200 ISO image you can actually tell the time on the K20D shot but not so much on the K-7 shot.
