Just killing time and thought I'd take some cat pics... This is Stella. She is a very odd cat. :lol:
I know I have said on this site that my images never look like they should...
well, this picture of Stella uploaded darker and was changed to a different color.
The blanket is not purple, it is Royal blue and her eyes should pretty much be the same.
it looks like her color has been greyed a bit and looks dingy.
Now, does anyone here have an educated guess why? I would like to know. Facebook doesn't even destroy the resolution this bad. What can I do to try and correct this? I just want to know.

This is just 1 example of my initial outing with my new HD D FA 24-70 F2.8ED WR lens. For some reason, even when I resize the photo, my pics get stomped on quite a bit and do not retain their quality when uploaded here.:mad: B&H had this on sale for $450 off list price. It was a deal I couldn't refuse. I needed this focal range and was waiting to get this when it dipped low enough. I am totally thrilled with this lens and will be using it quite often. :D

This sculpture is the doings of a local High School welding class. It was donated to Vander Veer Botanical Gardens in Davenport IA. I shot this and it came out so good I did nothing to it but make it a jpeg. :)

Took a stab at getting a shot of the Perseid Meteor storm last night... I got one of them at least... lol

Decided to take a drive away from the light and found a secluded lake that was very dark. The milky way was so easy to see... It was a very good night. :)

I just recieved my almost new K1 today so I had to test it out on a sunset. The only wide angle lens I have that would show the full frame ability was an old manual pentax 50mm, and not the good one either. So, considering what I was working with, I think the K1 did a pretty nice job. :)

The Budweiser team was in town this past weekend & I had the opportunity to play with Bud. He is the Dalmatian that owns everything...lol And you think I'm joking. HA!
The composition of this was with some luck that Bud stayed and posed for me just long enough that I ended up with this. :)

Hi Robert,
I was where you are now just a few short weeks ago. To make a long story short, I upgraded from my K30 and went with the K3ii. The reason for me was simple. I'm a sucker for the latest technology and I purchased mine from B&H which came with a battery grip thrown in free of charge. Since I would have wanted one of these eventually, I figured the $849 (no tax) purchase price with free shipping and if you subtract the retail value of the battery grip, I actually came away with a very nice deal. I'm still getting used to this camera but the jump up from my k30 is unreal! This may be my last big purchase, camera wise, so I went with something I thought would satisfy my wants and needs and as I grow will be able to get me further down the road. I would have loved to get the K1 but that one fell short as I wasn't quite able to convince the wife that the extra $1,000 would be worth it in the long run...Damn! LOL
My only dilemma now is trying to find a 3rd party flash for it that's around $150. Cactus seems like a possibility but this process is harder than picking out the camera! It never ends...:confused:

UPDATE;
Well I ended up getting a used Tamron 70-200 F2.8 at a pretty nice price. So far this lens looks like a deal/steal. I posted a pic I took yesterday. Let me know what you think.
