Why do you bump clarity to +30?

I hope you do not use it for portraits :)

Why just an E-M1? I would buy an E-M10 mark II. Is there any difference regarding adapters?

I don't understand why some people like big and heavy lenses with small bodies. I have tried this combination and it is not balanced well for me. I think it looks funny also. :D:D:D

Check your flash settings. If it is set to rear trail mode then 1/90th is your max speed.

The flash is in rear curtain mode. Change it to first curtain mode and you will get the full speed (1/180).

Great! What about the warranty? Is it valid in your country or you have to send it back if there will be any problems?

Try with this chart http://chriscontiphotography.com/stuff/lens_test_chart.jpg in good daylight. I think you will get much better results. The book with the small white letters is not contrasty enough for AF testing.

AF-540FGZ Problem

If the transistor doesn't work then the speedlight fires the pre-flash with full power and is not able to fires the main flash anymore. In my opinion this is the reason why you get underexposing
In manual flash mode it fires without pre-flashes, just main flash with full power and this is the reason why you get overexposing, of course if you don't need full power.

AF-540FGZ Problem

In my case the problem was just in the IGBT transistor and the flash was out of its warranty. The transistor is in the flash head (AF540FGZ II) and can be very cheap if you buy it online.

A local tv servis changed it and the flash started working normally.

Be very careful at disassembling because of the flash capacitor!!! There is about 500-600 volts even if you take all batteries out.

If you trIed all the suggestions and you still have just full flash power then you probably have a problem with the flash IGBT transistor.

I have had the same problem with AF540FGZ II.

I have exactly the same problem with my DA 18-135. I notice this when I turn my camera vertical (for portraits). It is more clearly visible from 35 mm to about 100 mm. It is still under warranty and maybe I will send it under repair.

Reset the camera factory settings and take a shot in jpeg format, then load it here without any PP adjustments.

No. I have tested AF accuracy with and without UV filter and found that there is no difference.

I use Hoya HD filters.

If it is under warranty send it back to the dealer. I have had the same problem with 18-135 and K-50.
