Sharpness problems with 45-85 on 645z

Hi,
I recently purchased a used 45-85mm for my 645z. I've noticed that even stopping down to f/16 I will have to crank the sharpness slider up to 30-60 (depending) in lightroom to get details to really pop. This is shooting with "mirror up", on a tripod, with a cable release...so it is not mirror shake or camera movement.
I'm wondering if I just got a dud of a lens or if this lens' flaws that were passable with film start to shine when it is paired with he 645z's amazing sensor.
Do you think any of the lens micro adjustments would help fix this? or sending it in to Pentax?
thanks!
