There's too much nice gear in this thread !
Something I bought recently myself while waiting for my FiL to have his OP appointment. Been looking for nice one of these that was both affordable and not crusty with corrosion. Did not have to import from Japan either. Am I a snob for wanting an Asahiflex rather than Tower branded one too ?

I'd love one with that patina. I have a black SP which someone seems to have looked after over the years which is a shame :-)

We're on the road to nowhere. Well not quite - between Salt Lake City and Jackson, Wyoming. Decided to drive from SLC rather than fly direct (from San Francisco). Worth it,
Pentax 645N / Ektachome 100. Slides are bad news to the wallet :-)

Well I was helping a friend move house and so we were clearing the garage. There was a bag of stuff. I asked what it was "late husband's old camera gear". Did I want it ?

Lens Clubs - Index
I have always enjoyed roaming around the lens club sub-forum and it's many threads. These reflect the diverse experience, interests and obsessions of the esteemed members of PF. The only problem I've had is that due to the way it's grown in terms of organisation it's a bit , let's say, idiosyncratic. The daily updates to threads also means they are constantly moving in terms of which page they are on. It's a mixture of lens or brand specific sections and a big dollop of "this is my special interest". All very good but not that easy if you're looking for something specific and not the best way to find new stuff. So I thought I'd organise it a little bit if only for my own purposes.
So below is a sort of index which you may find useful. Three sections - single lenses , lens types and then a miscellany. It's a bit arbitrary but I hope it helps you find the area you are looking for. Please let me know of the inevitable mistakes - I don't know all these lenses so I may have got something wrong - it's happened before :-)
I will add further short descriptions and thread count - the former to clarify the content and the latter to give an idea of traffic level . Thread count is a moving target so don't expect regular updates ! Date Compiled: 26th February 2017 Single Lens Clubs

It's like an itch I had to scratch. I had planned on getting a K1 but I'm really a sucker for medium format. So it had to be this baby. Took me a while to find a nice one. It was missing the shutter ring but the vendor told me that in advance so am about to print a new one. Will print a r/h grip too.

My latest and oldest film Pentax camera purchase. Has now had a CLA and fixed the sticky mirror. Not sure why but this feels rather better than my old and original K1000. It might be because the Spot is a black one and they're inherently better cameras :-)

Hello neighbor (Novato here). Did that weatherproofing come in useful with the rain this week
I suspect you might well be right. I'm currently working my way through the lens reviews but it's also a question where I will use the K1. At the moment I shoot the Sony when I want that fast AF and the guaranteed (mostly) digital quality that is needed for some applications. I use a Fuji X100T when I'm out with family and friends and want no faff. The K1 is probably going to end up being used for landscape, DSLR scanning and possibly some astro. TBH it's been a while since I shot with a "proper" DSLR so I need to re-establish where that FL sweetspot will end up being before I think about more modern lenses.

Recent auction haul on Goodwill. I was only really after a film p&s and don't really like the more bulky Pentax compacts so this one caught my eye. Just happened to come with an SLR and two (kit) lenses. Just waiting on some batteries now. I suspect they've been in the camera for a fair few years but fortunately no sign of leakage or corrosion.

I would say it "emerges" rather than pops up. I prefer that to popping up and not going back in it's hole ...

I had heard that a dab of alcohol in this area could often help... yup - switching around the ISO (well probably ASA) away from the 100 setting does seem to generate normal readings. I guess the previous owner left it on 100ASA for a decade or so :-) - a bit of alcohol and a turning the exp comp dial quite a bit seems to have sorted it thanks. The ME-Super can come to the ball......

For a complete set - $80 are you kidding ? I'd have bought it and I'm not a huge fan of 110 film. Given that the film stock is available I'd have definitely bought it :-)
Pricewise I'd day for a full kit it was a bargain.

Film arriving today (mix of Ilford b&w and some Kodak colour).
Urgent need to get lens and body caps and some filters. ---------- Post added 11-01-18 at 08:50 AM ----------
I'm turning into my old dad. Buying more cameras and lenses than I need and going off into niche photo pursuits and interests. He'd also be fascinated by the latest tech with the ability for PP and the capabilities of the modern digital realm gear. He'd probably still be using his Spots and old Leicas but it's a huge regret that we can't chew the fat over such stuff. I hope you enjoyed your Dad's birthday and here's to many more !

Er yes thanks for that - you seem to have encouraged me to go out and buy the same stereo adapter - I really don't need any more GAS encouragement thank you :-)
It's due here on my birthday so I suppose that's some justification. Now I have to go and buy some slide film too...

Pentax ME Super and MEII Winder (oh I so wanted that winder). SMC-M 50mm F2 and some Fujichrome tranny film.
The lovely colour is down to a Cokin tobacco filter and possibly a grey grad for good measure. Cokin was quite the thing at the time. Easy to laugh at now but for me at least that (and being film) it gives me a real nostalgia buzz. That may also be due to it being my first sojourn abroad. 1981 - Lac Leman -Geneva. I was 23 :-)
I bought and got refurbed a replacement ME Super, the original having died in the 90s. The MEII Winder I had a carried on working until I put it on the refurbed ME-S. Boo-Hoo - I'd kept it for 30 years. Now too cheap to be worth repairing.

This was quite some time ago but as Suomi is getting a mention - a rather old film shot - almost certainly on my ME Super. Judging by the colour certainly the SMC M 50mm I had/have.
I used to work for a Finnish company and travelled there regularly from 1992 to 2004. Miss that country and it's people. This shot was 1995.
Have recently started using it again. What a perfect package.
