Hey anyone tried the rechargable NmH Batteries: According to the Manual the Flash should recharge faster. Is that so?
4 sec vs 7 sec and totalnumber of flashes 100 vs 80?
By the way, thx for the Link. :)

I quickly searched for:
"Pentax SDM repair"
it brings some Videos:
That shows the SDM change procedure. Mybe it is usefull to contact the guy. "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgAbOIUgKLA"
This DIY. The Guy thinks that often not the Motor inself is broken, that iis Why he only trys to spin the Motor manually to break it lose. U might check and clean the contacts too.
I do not speak dutch but U see what he is doing.
And this Video: "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZiiG9MaZpY"
It shows how a guy gets the focus working again be tilting it a few times..
I hope that helps

Hi, check youtube there is a guy that dissassambles the sdm drive motor. That may be helpfull. I watched it and It seemed to be too complicated to pay off for a longer usage after repair.

After conversion I noticed that the AF ist quick with the screwdrive when I use the viewfinder and a bit slower when I habe the LV switched on.
Why is that?

Hi,
at the end I purchased a K100D off ebay to modify my lenses.
That worked very well.
The 100Ds are not expensive.
Both of my DA* Lenses are screwdrive now. Very fast in deed.

Hello,
thats my feeling too. I converted both the 16-50 and the 50-135 to screw drive and its really fast. The more noise you have is the downsiide, but for me acceptable.
I used a K100D for the conversion. It works fine. I used the lensrom modification on the PC using the win editor.

HI,
That number: 00077760.502 is K3.
Not K3 II.
I have tried 00077761.502 but this did not work It would have been too easy.

Hi,
I have used your files for K3 to enter the debug mode, but these do not work. I read that the number in the name of one of the files is the Pentax model or product number (like 000777xxx.xxx where x meaning digits of unknown number) . Maybe someone in the forum know this number?
I am happy to try it on my K3 II.
