In fall, these larches turn into an incredible golden colour, and these were lit at sunrise on Fairview Mountain, near Lake Louise, Alberta.

Badlands Sky

This was a dramatic sky after some stormy weather near the badlands of Drumheller, AB. Crossing the bridge over the Red Deer River to this location, I was greeted by a photographer who was leaving, declaring I had "missed it". Instead, the sky kept getting better and better. A good lesson when it comes to skies and light that are constantly changing.

Pentax K-70 Giveaway K70 Giveway, San Francisco

I would love to use the K70 for wildlife shots with my 300 mm lens, which doesn’t have quite enough reach I find for animals in the field. I would also like to share use and my lenses with my son, who has shown interest in photography and video, where I think the K70 would shine.

Well done on the light painting. Inside the bus?

That's surreal image. And would love to know what the "Clown Prison" means!

I like it. Maybe a little bit more distinct on the background hills vs sky? Has a "middle ground" and "background", but lacks a bit of foreground.

Nice composition and shot. How long was the exposure, allowing you to light paint?

I have a couple of Cactus Triggers including the V6ii (and flashes) and am pleased with the performance and compatibility with Pentax. So disappointing to see they have ceased operation.

F series AF lenses

I also have the F 50/1.4 and F* 300mm F4.5 ED. The F*300 is outstanding and handles very well on the K-1. The 50/1.4 is a good lens yielding good results. But I don't love the way it feels, or the tiny focusing ring, which I think would be common to most of the F series lenses.

From a trip to NYC, exploring the parks for photo ideas, and experimenting with my film-era A*300 mm lens. This is one lens which has survived my eventual switch to digital, from a collection of mostly M and K series lenses I accumulated with my LX. I liked the casual natural composition of the scene, and of course NYC is such a subject rich environment.
