Thanks for all the suggestions. I wound up buying the 35mm 2.4. I like the lens but have to say I prefer the 50mm 1.8 I already have. I'm pretty much set on getting the 70mm. If somehow the 77mm comes down in price, I may splurge and get it. Thanks again.

Right now I have the 50mm 1.8 lens..that's it. Mostly for portraits of my 2 year old son. I find that I sometimes would like to include or exclude a bit more when shooting. Also, I'm picking up a little bit of children and small family portrait work.

Like some other forum members, I'm going back and forth on which lenses to treat myself to? I'm pretty much committed to primes. I'm thinking of the 70mm 2.4 and the low end 35mm lens. Any other suggestions? I am working on a modest budget, so I don't want to walk away with just a single lens. I'm curious if anybody thinks there may be some real good deals on BF or beyond?

Hi there. Longtime PF surfer, very recent registrant. I've been an on and off Pentax user. I'm back on the wagon with a Kx and a shiny and new K3. The forum has always been a good place for news and advice. Looking forward to greater interaction.
