I voted for #2, but #15 made that decision difficult. All of them were great pictures...

I voted for #8 ^^^^ up there at the top.
Tough call because #9 really tripped my trigger too.
I have 3 cats of my own, and I'm fostering a mom with 6 kittens and also fostering 4 orphan kittens currently.

Voted for #4.
Tough choice though.
Virtual tie between 3 or 4 others as well.

Also on the Ricoh website they have a refurbished KP under the "outlet" link for $649.95. It says it comes with all the accessories, but just a 90 day warranty. About 2 months ago I bought a new silver KP from a dealer on Ebay for $709.00 and in trying to register the warranty I found out he wasn't an authorized dealer. << my bad ... So then a few weeks later I bought a lightly used black KP for $685.00 on Ebay with 3 extra batteries, an 18-55 kit lens, Osprey bag, the 2 extra grips, charger, AC cord, everything but the manual. It just had 1300 shutter actuations and appears to be in excellent condition and full functionality. But anyway, those 2 purchases took me out of the KP marketplace before Ricoh reduced their prices on the website...

LOL, money is my biggest hangup. I'm still doing a lot of reading and research from various sources about all the available stuff. I am strongly leaning toward the Pentax line though.

Hi there folks,
New to the forum and hope to learn a bit from perusing some of the threads here. I presently have the Olympus Evolt E-500 that I have never gotten overly proficient with it relying mainly on the programmed stuff. It took a fall not too long ago and now it can't be counted on from one shot to the next to focus, proper contrast, or color rendition, even just seconds apart in the same environment and settings.
Hence I am considering the purchase of the Pentax K-50, but am also researching some other Pentax, Canon, Nikon, and Sony models too. I'm also checking into some short courses from the university here in town so that I might advance beyond the bare essentials of DSLR photography.. I'm sure I'll do a lot of reading and research in he threads here over the next few weeks.
