I was attending a family barbecue snapping a few pictures for the family album and my young nephew decided to take a quizzical interest in his mad uncle who keeps putting the funny shaped box up to his face. :)

Whilst on holiday last year in Scotland I was walking around Glencoe with my wife and daughter I spotted this small waterfall in one of the streams. Although there we saw other waterfalls in Glencoe, as well as the Falls of Dochart and the Waters of Nevis, areas I would thoroughly recommend visiting, I thought this small stream had a character all of it's own, and very serene.

Still very new to the world of DSLR's but I thought I would have a bit of a play with my filters and enter a picture. I did some shots using the A-HDR mode as well but I liked the look of this shot better.

Hi TER-OR,
My bridge camera is a Panasonic FZ-28, which is still okay for some scenarios but at 10 megapixel lacks detail, but it will still have a home in my camera bag.
I am lucky enough to live on the coast and have some exceptional nature reserves close by, add to that a plethora of castles and the odd cathedral and abbey, I am spoilt for subject matter. :)

Hi all, thanks for the welcome messages. My camera is now back in stock and on it's way. Looking forward to the weekend when it should be here and I will be able to take it out for a play. :)

Hello all,
After many years of using a bridge camera I decided I would like to take the next step and enter the world of the DSLR. After much deliberation and research I have decided to shun Canon and Nikon and buy Pentax. I am just waiting for my retailer of choice to get some new stock and then I will hopefully be able to collect a nice shiny new K-S2. I am looking forward to many years of happy photography. :)
