I like Vasque. I have both hiking boots and shoes by them. They fit my narrow feet well.

I bought a cosmetically beautiful SV from shopgoodwill. Had a dirty screen and the mirror locked up on the first test. Eric took care of it.

I’ve been using a stainless steel 3-cup moka pot. My system is thus: start warming the water in the lower section over medium low gas heat. Apply a moistened Aeropress filter to bottom of upper section. Overfill the funnel with “fine” grind coffee and level off (no packing). Turn off gas before water boils; by this time for me, it’s really just getting warm. Place funnel in base and screw on top. Restart gas on medium low. At first sign of brewing, drop gas to dead low. Quickly remove from heat when sputtering starts and enjoy a great cup of brew!

I believe the M42 adapter is to adapt M42 lens to K-mount body, not the other way around. The OP has K-mount lenses.

Just got my Spotmatic F back from Eric H., and he fitted it with a 625A. ---------- Post added 02-12-24 at 09:33 PM ---------- You can see how a Spotmatic meter, where you center the needle in a +/- bracket, is very different from a camera meter where the needle reacts to a light level, and then matched to a “lollipop” follower, like a Rollei 35 (or even a Pentax KX). Battery voltage would make a big difference in the latter.

Back in the ‘90s I was working in a chemistry lab. Heard about the alcohol/ether blend for lens cleaning, so I “borrowed” just a few mL to give it a try. Put it a small screwcap lab bottle, sealed the bottle with parafilm, and placed it my backpack. I no sooner walked in the door at home and set down the pack, than my wife said “what’s that smell?” Be careful with that ether!

Received my Spotmatic F and lens back on February 1st. Only 19 days door-to-door, even with a 5-day mail delay due to historic weather. Great service!

Interesting that that lens is sporting the lower-case “smc”, like the later K lenses, such as the 50mm f1.2 and 24 f2.8 and all M lenses.

Yes, with the K and M cameras, you chose the body and you chose your lens. The exception was the K1000, that came with the K55 2.0/M50 2.0.

Would look kind of cool on my Voigtlander BR or Zeiss Contessamatic.

I agree. So it has a 52mm filter ring; the M 200 f4 did also.

Sent in a Spotmatic F and M 35mm 2.8 today! 35mm has the classic lazy diaphragm.

I hate to say it, but I drank the YouTube kool-aid and bought the premium for $15.25/mo. Couldn’t take it anymore.

I’ve been thinking about getting a Spottie for months. After watching the Toyota ad, I couldn’t resist getting this off evil-bay.

Ok, I admit it. The commercial and all the online chatter got me to pull the trigger and buy a Spotmatic. I’ve been on the fence for one for months till now. It will keep my SV company.
