Can anybody tell me if the 55-300 PLM WR Re is compatible with my K-30? It seems the K-50 has a firmware update, but I don't know about the K-30.

Happens when handheld, pretty much all the time, whether SR on or off. It ticks quietly as the image moves up an down, more on the left side.

K-30 sensor shake?

Maybe this has already been discussed but recently my k-30 has started what seems to be constantly moving the sensor from side to side. This is clearly shown in live view, but affects photos taken through the viewfinder too. With almost all pictures slightly out of focus as if the camera was moved during exposure. Any help?

Tamron 10-24 has been more than adequate for me and is priced well. The zoom range is versatile, and it sharpens up with stopping down. It might suit your budget...

Some lovely light there, I wonder what you could come up with if you went down to the jetty and isolated the more traditional looking sailing boats from the modern boats...

K-5 IIs external stereo mic problem

Maybe Windows does not recognise the fact that a stereo mic was used, possibly given the fact that the internal mic is mono. It sounds like you are happy with the sound reproduction though? Does it play back in stereo?

That sounds like some pretty lengthy and consistent exposure to moisture, and any system like that has a limit to what it is capable of withstanding. Anyone who has spent a lot of cash on a top quality raincoat will know that not many man made items are truly waterproof, which as we know WR doesn't actually claim to be. It looks like you approached and even reached the limits of what WR can manage. Thanks for sharing your experience, a good point of reference.

Need a lens recommendation for my mom between DA 18-135, Sigma 18-250, and DA 55-300

The 55-300 seems a good choice. Sounds like it produces nice results and she would probably enjoy that focal range. I have had a Tamron 18-250 for quite a while now and that is an acceptable lens, especially if she would prefer not to have to swap lenses. They can be bought pretty cheaply too!

I take my camera to work everyday, mostly hoping for interesting wildlife. The seal with fish was cropped quite heavily which is probably obvious.

That's an intriguing name for a lake! There is certainly evidence of current in the photo. Does it feed a fast flowing river?

I have never been to Coney Island and I do like this shot. Something unmistakably 'Coney Island' out of focus in the far distance could have added some 'identity' to the shot. Love the soft curves of the armrests against the fence rails.

It is a very accurate representation of what it's really like being in the audience and in fact the inclusion of some fans on the right is important for the photo.

I like the soft mossy rocks left of centre, contrasting with the hard lines and vivid orange of the leaves diagonally below to the right, which themselves are complimented by the Autumn colours near the top of the picture.

It all comes together nicely among the green forest and white water.

Nice that nature ignores our photographic 'sensibilities'.

Here is one of the first photos I took with my recently acquired Panagor 55mm macro lens. Forget-Me-Nots are only a few millimetres across, so I'm already impressed with what this lens can do.
