Depends upon the price. A while back I picked up a KP in really good cosmetic condition with 77K actuations for $150. Its design is for 100K. It's my primary street camera.

I have all the DA Limited's except the 40 (too close to the 35). The 21 is my favorite and stays on my beater KP. Bought them all used.

I bought a mint used Leica IIIF Red Dial w/50mm 3.5 Elmar in 1960 for $125 (todays equivalent = $1,225) while a new one was $240 ($2,350 today). Listened to my wife bitch a bunch and finally sold it for peace and quiet. It was a wonderful mechanical object and I always missed it. If I remember correctly, replaced it with a Potoroid.

I recently bought a mint S3 from the original owner via the Marketplace. Sent it to Eric for a CLA. It is one very smooth puppy. Only problem is I don't get out much anymore, so it's basically sitting in a drawer. In the early 1960's I was using a Leica 3f red dial. Was thinking of getting one again for old times' sake, But the price for a M39 screw Leica lens in decent shape is way too much for my taste, plus the tiny rangefinder window was always a PIA. The nice thing about the S3 is the viewfinder window is totally uncluttered. I really need to get my lazy butt out of the house and shoot some film.

Eric - I recently picked up an excellent H3 from the original owner here on the marketplace and had it serviced by Eric (CLA + seals) that I then stuck in a drawer. I can post details if you are interested as I've got too much unused film gear.

I've gone nostalgic and started back into film again. Still have my Nikon 6006 which I gave to my sister in the late 1990's after switching to digital. She gave it back when she switched. Recently have acquired a Pentax S3, ME Super, and an MX. I sent the first two to Eric H. for a CLA. Bought the S3 and MX on the Marketplace from their original owners. Anyhow started taking B&W and have accumulated some unprocessed rolls. Am sitting on the fence deciding if I want to get the chemicals and process/scan the negs or just have them processed locally. Still in the deciding mode.
That said my 1st real camera was a Voigtlander 120 folder that I got in 1954, then a Leica 3f in 1960, then moved to a Yashica-Mat, then Nikon's. Have always been a camera GAS person. The old film Pentax's are a wonder of engineering, especially their small and well-balanced build plus their quality engineering.

My S3 has metal sprockets and what appears to be a metal take up spool. Its definitely not like the later white plastic ones in my ME and MX.

It's not shown at all in the K1-ii manual where compatible flashes are listed. I'd be extra cautious.

Eric received an S3 from me for a CLA on 3/19/22 and sent me an estimate, paid it the same day. I just received the camera back today (4/8). Total of 20 days including shipping to me. In my opinion, that is excellent service. The 60 year old camera appears as new.
