Pan and tilt heads are great for panning and tilting - otherwise I prefer ball heads :)

Most hobbies are essentially solitary occupations and I prefer being out alone with a camera - but the problems for me come when on holiday or travelling - novelty excites the visual imagination like nothinig else, but photography can only be a bolt-on extra when with family or friends. My wife is very tolerant of my picture-taking but the danger is more likely that she will disappear into the distance unaware that I've stopped :D

I think it was '87 I was there last - for work. The old Kai tak airport was an experience in inself! :)

I'd go for one of the Ltd lenses - I've only got the original FF ones, not the APS-C ones, but there's something special about the way they render.

I noticed that in my ews feed - it makes sense to me - not because Nikon video isn't OK, but because Canon and Sony (and Panasonic) already make pro video eqipment, and defiitely benefit from the trickle down. Wasn't there a rumour a few years back about Ricoh posibly buying RED? They seem to have decided more firmly with each passing stage that video isn't for them.
