I'm new to digital cameras. No idea whether an auto focus lens is a good idea. Do they make life easier? Does the camera have features that work better with an auto focus. Plenty of second hand ones on ebay to try. Are there any recommended ebayers or any to beware of?

I have a few lithium imr 18500 batteries - almost the same size as AA, 3.7 Volts. Is there an adapter so that I could use these?

Just to let you know how ignorant I am :- I didn't realise that there were automatic lenses for the K-50. So banged my head against the wall for a couple of hours trying to get a photo in auto. Found how to set to use aperture ring and taken my first shots. Pleasantly surprised at the picture without a flash.

Bit of an old codger. just bought a K-50. Decided I can't manage without digital.
Since I've never owned a phone with a camera I will probably ask a lot of naff questions.
Hoping to get the new toy to perform without an automatic lens.
