PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing Item for Sale
Fujifilm XS20, Fujifilm XF90/2 Asking Price
1,400.00 AUD Item Location
Blue Mountains (Australia) Item Description
Probably the wrong domain to selling these two items but I thought what the heck, what's the harm.
I have a Fujifilm XS20 (bought new Sep '23) for sale as well as the XF90/2 (bought new also but a couple years ago). Selling purely because I have collected more camera bodies and lenses and these items are surplus to requirement.
Currently I'd prefer to sell to local Aussies where the value is highest.
XS20 $1400AUD
XF90/2 $700AUD
$2k for someone who wants them both. Are you the original owner of the item being sold?
Yes Are you selling or trading this item?

Thanks everyone.
The colour were using a RNI5 profile, a couple... I forget which ones tbh, I think a Kodak Gold of some sorts. The Mono a Leica CCD Lut from Cobalt, both profiles were tweaked regardless. The book was a surprise gift to the couple.

I think for other brands like Fuji, they do 'summits', they've given up on 'roadmaps' per se (where they have a dot or line representing on something forthcoming). It's just the wording 'Roadmap', it makes it sound like something that says 'here's what we have and here's what's coming' whereas in reality its just a table now showing what is, not what will be. With Fuji I don't think anyone knew a 30/2.8 macro was coming nor that new 8/3.5. It just 'appears' our of nowhere (often leaked first as a rumour to build up hype). I honestly think that is all Pentax are doing here, simply saying they're no longer placing a dot or line on a roadmap to hint what is being worked on. No one seems to be doing that anymore so maybe Pentax need to be cut some slack. It always feels like what they do gets lost in translation and their PR is a disaster train. Of course it would be nice if Pentax did summits as well but that extends beyond their budget presumably. So, in the same way Fuji users are surprised by new offerings, so will Pentaxians. I don't feel its a huge deal.

Sad times. I love this camera but it's really a personal project/enthusiast camera for me (that seldom sees professional job work) and I just have too much work on for the last year (and foreseeable future) to really giving it much love 😢
I'd rather it go to a better home than sit on my shelf.
Please check completed listings, the last two 645D sales were $2900AUD and $2750AUD. Price is firm on all products, can sell separately but together is quite a saving. Glass is good and free from any defects, mould etc. Further pics can be given on request.
Thank you. Are you the original owner of the item being sold?

Can't say I have noticed anything bad about Fuji lenses. I had the three amigos (31, 43 and 77) and the focus ring actually became a little 'rough' on one of them (forget which). These lenses were utterly super cared for so I am not sure what caused the one to have developed a lack of smoothness to the focus ring but there you go.
I miss not having the 'A' lock for the aperture ring on the Fuji lenses I own tho, I liked that I could lock them with Pentax, and also that bulb half sphere thing to help you line up the mount for lens swapping.
Imo both brand lenses seem robust and of good build quality.

Thanks BigMackCam. I think I do not get enough chances to shoot just for me these days. Most of what I share is client work, which have briefs and style constraints. When opportunity comes along to shoot just for me I kinda lack motivation, slightly burnt out from client work. But a night on the town with a mate, a GRIIIx, it feels easy and not a hassle to invoke some creativity. Glad you like the work.
Thanks robgski, GR + city night + mono is a match made in heaven :)

I recently posted the new excellent Ricoh video about the K3III Mono in a Pentax FB group; Youtu.be |
src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/DOQw2YNiRmI?controls=1" allowfullscreen> |
Members Jerzy and Leland noticed that the EXIF on some of the shots has some new lenses, a 'HD FA* 200mm f2.8 ED [IF] lens' and 'HD FA 28-80 f3.5-5.6'.
Did a quick look here before posting, has this been picked up yet over here on PF land?
Cheers,
BB

Guys, post #10 does not have any sliders at all :lol: It's a completely different blog entry. Post #10 is the original post where I explain what I did and my approach and show the results. It was after this post that people started to want to know which shots were mf and which were aps-c so that's when I made a new post with just a handful of shots (with sliders) showing which sensor was which shot (as to do it to for all of them is Zzzz...)
Hope that clears things up.
So just to be super clear;
Sliders (test) > https://www.eddysummers.com.au/aps-c-vs-medium-format
No Sliders (no test, just enjoy the full set) > https://www.eddysummers.com.au/blog/ausreenact |

No problems here on my Samsung A23 phone. What's your handset? ---------- Post added 05-01-23 at 08:08 AM ----------
Yeh, this was a little test for me in some ways. The fast glass I used in some of the work is not a small light lens, it weighs 1.2kg! I wondered if I forced myself to take it to more event work that I am almost acquiring a 'medium format' look to my shots, so to discover that for myself I decided to take the 645D and do some rough comparisons. There are a few APS-C shots thrown in here that were not taken with that lens and something more boring (XF23/2), that still tripped a few people up. Just goes to show...

I think you've missed the point of the 'test'. Each image IS the same image, the slider when dragging across ONLY reveals the text on the bordering to let you know which format sensor was responsible for the shot. You are supposed to guess before dragging the slider across, do you think this particular image was shot on Medium Format or APS-C? Then drag the slider to find the answer. Hope that clarifies.

I don't think the edits would really mask differences in terms of sensor formats space and breadth, especially not when both had the same treatments applied (necessary to steer them towards being a cohesive set). Below is a SOOC from Fuji for example, I would not call the final edit 'heavy'.
Indeed though I am always amazed how the 645D keeps up in terms of IQ a good decade later, fantastic camera that really has lasted the test of time. I'm not sure I know of another digital camera that has kept up quite as well as this one. Where it struggles is low light, keeping a lid on ISO (I really try not to pass 400) and with f2.8 as the fastest glass and no IBIS I often need to use a tripod with it. It's dynamic range is also showing age now compared to other systems.
