Hello fellow Pentaxians! Made a visit to the Pentax Americas headquarters here in Denver, Colorado to have my fan boy moment. Ms. Linnea Wolken (Director of Marketing, on the left) and Ms. Martha Janeski (Social Media Coordinator and also rocks a customized K50) indulged me and my questions, even though I am certain I interrupted their lunch break, and even gave me an amazing Pentax Ricoh Photo Annual 2015-2016! These women are such a credit to Pentax and yet ANOTHER reason my loyalty lies with Pentax(Ricoh). During our conversation about the K1, B&H / Adorama, and shipping dates, Ms. Wolken said they would be shipping sooner then expected! And before I am peppered with questions, that is all she shared and I was too excited at my experience to ask any follow up questions :D. Thank you again Ms. Wolken and Ms. Janeski!
Also, I am such a newbie that I am just now starting to move out of auto mode, so any greatness in these photos is solely the responsibility of my awesome K50, not the photographer... lol.

Personally I like the AA battery option that comes with the K50. It was a deciding factor in my decision to purchase it, though I recognize that may very well be a niche preference amongst Pentaxians.

Doesn't matter... the wife gets what the wife wants (actual research proved the adage 'happy wife, happy life' is true). As a side note, I wish I had a blue k50 so I may be biased.

I moved into photography with DSLRs because I had reached a point with my cell phone camera where I could no longer take the photos I wanted, so I did my research and got the k-50. Wih only the 18-55 kit lens, I am still learning the ropes and looking to expand my lens selection before I even think of upgrading. When (and if) I upgrade to another Pentax body it will be due to either needing a new one because the one I have no longer works, or no longer meets my needs. Since I have no need or desire to go pro, I do not know if I will ever need a full frame.

I use the mobi eyefi card with my k50. I downloaded the app onto my nexus 6 and now every pic I take goes onto my phone (just don't use the app to back them up to the mobi wifi cloud, or they will want you to get a subscription). I find this really helpful, especially with street photography because I can text images directly to people that want copies (or any images for that matter). Also, since everything uploads to my phone, if I ever am forced to give up my SD card, I still have the pics.

My worst habit is not believing in myself or my vision completely (yet, only been shooting for a few months) and the worst that I don't so is pointing out what amatuer I am (I am a holder of that particular knowledge already, thank you).

Perhaps we could create collages of photos and play "Where's the Pentax?" a la "Where's That Cat with the Candy Cane Hat" (gotta watch that copyright infringement).
