Pentax K3II body - see description Asking Price
260.00 CAD Item Location
Calgary (Canada) Item Description
Pentax K3II body. The camera works as I have been using it. The issue is a stripped screw on the ring (see photo). This causes the lens to not connect properly to the camera (you need to press the lens).
It is an easy fix, I have looked online. However I have switched systems and will sell this for someone handy. Happy to provide more pictures as required. Are you the original owner of the item being sold?

Hey guys,
I have been using the pentax A 50mm 1.7 for a little while now and I really like this lens for my portraits. I have an issue when shooting wide open... A little fringing/halo on my subjects.
Am I just not nailing the manual focus or is this how the lens behave wide open? Or did I get a bad lens?
Thanks,
Gabe

That's excellent! Thank you so much. That really explained to me the whole HSS thing in a practical way. Cheers!

interesting. So if i wanted to use flash to shoot outdoor portraiture, I'd go with an automatic flash that can do HSS? Any recommendations of best bang for your buck? I read that Sigmas are decent. Because the yonguo is fairly cheap so that will do for the fun stuff I want to do indoors.
Thanks!

Oh I was not aware what exactly "manual" means... Thankful i made this thread. So when would i need HSS? As far as I know, freezing macros (e.g. water drops) and motion doesn't necessarily require HSS... Or am I out to lunch?
Thanks for your help!
Good point. So the fastest option is optical? Thanks!

Thanks a lot! Yes I think the yongnuo will be my choice. I will start with it mounted. I shoot with a K-3ii. Is the wiring complicated? I saw the transmitter and thought it could be an option if i find that I need to move it off camera.

That makes a lot of sense! Any recommendations for a beginner flash? I have read Sigma is pretty good and cheaper than Pentax and Mentz.
Thanks a lot for the tips! What would you recommend for a starting point? Should I get a flashgun that can stand on its own?

Hey guys,
I searched through the forum but I am still confused. I would like to start playing with High speed flash photography. I'd mainly use it for indoor macro as well as outdoor portraiture. I shoot with the K-3ii.
Can someone point me in the right direction? What would I need for a basic starter kit (i.e one flash). As far as I understand, I need the flash itself and a transmitter?
I appreciate the help!
Thanks,
Gabe

I have bought a Tamron Adaptall-2 SP 60-300mm with a P/KA adapter for my K-3ii from someone in this forum. No issues at all, lens works just fine and looks great.
My problem is: once I turn the camera on, it asks me for the focal lenght, just like when I connect my Pentax A 50mm. With my prime, that is fine since it is only one focal length. How do I deal with this with a zoom lens? All my photos I take show as 50mm (i just click ok once asks me the focal lenght).
Also, will this affect my photos in any way? I haven't noticed anything bad in them (besides the EXIF)
Thanks!

Hey guys,
New here. Still do not own a Pentax but I am hunting for one.
Undecided between a K-3 and a K-3ii (big price difference up here) and a K-s2.
Cheers,
Gabe
