Yes, Minolta MD for sure. In addition to the features kypfer points out the external control tabs for "P" and aperture (f-stop) settings seen at the 5:30-6:00 o'clock position in the first photo and around the 2:00 o'clock position in the second are dead give-aways.
Mistaken or mislabeled mounts on third party converts and lenses is more common than you would expect.

Not the place for an OS discussion, but I loathe it. I use it, but loathe it. Luddite that I am, I'm still using Win7. Don't tell Microsoft!

Allthough the K10D is a very sturdy strong DSLR, it can happen very rarely that either one of the solenoids for the shutter or the mirror up motor or the aperture-control-motor dies. All three are interlinked with each other and of one is off, the rest is off.
Nevertheless: The K10D was a migthy beast and often reaches super high shuttercount.
One finds them now very cheap and I wouldn't see much risk there.
I bought one plus a K200D about a year ago (with low shuttercount and very cheap)
and they both work great.

Thanks, Sandy.
Actually, my first experience with K-01 was a disaster.
My first ever experience with a digital camera, (too many years attached to 35mm film ME, MZ30 & ZX7)
Instruction manual was in Japanese.
The camera was a "Lemon" => Lenses got stuck on, and could not be dis-mounted, Battery compartment got HOT, and mode dial cover fell off . . . . . . i sold it, and bought a pre-owned K-x from B&H, with warranty.
Recent events have caused me to look for a "new" travelling "back-up" camera, ans also a camera i can "Play" with in the IR / Full-Spectrum world.
So, i decided to give the K-01's a go, 2xCamera bodies, different colours, the 2nd one headed in for IR (or Full Spectrum) conversion.
This time, ENGLISH User-Manual downloaded :)
These 2 pics were taken with FA 28-105 lens.

The K100D service manual shows the internal battery mounted on the main board just below and to the left of the viewfinder, so replacing it would mean removing the camera's external casing. It's not something that has any real impact on using the camera, so it's probably best just to live with it. The risk of bricking the camera trying to replace the internal battery doesn't seem worth it.
The internal battery in my own K100D is dead, and as others have pointed out all you have to do is reset the date each time you load a new set of AA batteries.

Yes, I ended up getting one from Adorama and this new unit was manufactured in June 2022. I'm loving it so far and I'm having a blast shooting with it!
As an update, I ended up getting a full refund from MBP for the faulty K-70.

MPB is a terrible company.
I had several problems with them and know of others which had those as well!
- They don't know their products but just "collect data" to sell. And thus mixup for example DA with DA-L lenses
- If a product is to be returned, it takes them ages³ to pay you back
- If the send you a wrong product such as for example a DA-L instead of a DA lens, they make it really complicated: You have to proof with photos and photo of the product with serial and "with their SKU Number" to proof that they are wrong. Then they need weeks to digest this, you have to send it back and then another few weeks until finally you get your return.
- Worst what happened: A precious lens ordered: Confirmation. Nothing... for weeks... stupid excuses of the worst kind. No payback: Paypal case opened, they didn't pay back. Weeks until paypal finally decided to pay back
FINGERS OFF!
So no way to let MPB repair the K70! No way.
If the price was good bargain with them to get the repair paid.

No, it says very clearly also what difference there is regarding their holding forces: Data Japan-made "SLR" solenoid:
- Operating Voltage DC: 3 - 6V
- Coilresistance: 30 ohms
- Attraction force: 2,2 N min
- Backtension: 0,8 N
- Operating stroke: 2mm Data Japan-made "DSLR" Solenoid:
- Operating Voltage DC: 3,6 - 7,2 V- Coilresistance: 30 ohms
- Attraction force: 2,5 N min
- Backtension: 1,0 N
- Operating stroke: 2mm Data China-made solenoid:
- Operating Voltage DC: 3,7 - 7,5V
- Coilresistance: 30 ohms
- Attraction force: 2,8 - 3,0 N min
- Backtension: 1,2 N
- Operating stroke: 2mm
And those differences show of course, why the original 1.st generation China solenoid went wrong.
I had the chance to have those solenoids measured by a then bacherlor and now master for "electric engineering", who's father was
the most remarkable electric engineer I ever came across, a real genius.
I didn't have generation 2 or 3 measured, no more access to this university right now.
But I didn't need it anyway because I can tell them apart very easely myself.
At least the second part is correct and yes, one can test it. But then what?
How do you change polarity?
On the solenoid? Would mean to extend both wires of the coils and move/solder each onto the other side, so that plus becomes minus and minus becomes plus. That is too risky, danger to kill the wires or to create a short.
So you have to unsolder the wires on the thin board which lead to the solenoid and swap them over.
Also here the risk to do irreversible damage.
But better than shorten one wire and extending the other because of limited space there and the need for shrinking tubes to protect
the soldered parts on the wires against a short circuit.
Would you be so kind and link us to this group and this profound answer?
I couldn't find it and I don't know of any closed Pentaxforums exclusivly just for members.
No, they were of the 7.2V-Version as well because the voltage is regulated and driven by a transistor and protected by a diode.
And as explained: Different holding force!
I tried once a 7.2V China solenoid in an ZX-7: It worked for the popup-flash but not for aperture-control.
There was no crossover because the DSLR solenoids were manufactured much later.
I hoped at the beginning that there could be a crossover between the original *ist and the *ist-D but I was wrong:
The original *ist film camera used the same
CR2 batteries = 900mA as the MZ/ZX-series and those didn't have the same power at all as the
CRV3 Lithiums used in the *ist-D/DS/DL etc. = 3300mA, huge difference!

And to answer my own question after buying one on Amazon, I contacted Ricoh about it, who said, proof of purchase is all you need, so print it out and stick it in the box!

It went down as far as £489.65. That's when I pulled the trigger. Unfortunately Storm Ciara rolled in last weekend so haven't had chance to use it yet
