PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing Item for Sale
Sigma 18-50mm F2.8-4.5 OS HSM Asking Price
150CAD Item Location
Ontario, Canada Item Description
Bought this lens off another forum member and enjoyed it very much, with it's solid build, and both focusing and zooming being completely internal. Excellent value as per usual with Sigma.
Sharper and faster than a kit lens, with super quiet focusing and Optical Stabilization (which i find works better than the SR in my K200D).
Reason for selling - i've recently acquired one of Sigma's EX primes and rarely find myself using this wonderful zoom anymore. It deserves to be put back in action. :)
In like new condition, comes with original box, manual & warranty card, front and rear caps, as well as the lens hood. Images of the lens: Sample image from this lens:

Film is still widely available as well as locations to get it developed. She will most likely be developing her own b&w film, so something like Ilford Delta or Kodak Tri/Plus-X films will suffice.
As for a camera, i would recommend any of these: Pentax MX/KX/LX/K1000/Spotmatic series, Canon AE-1's, or Nikon FM series.

hmm, thanks Raylon. The person selling the flash did demonstrate it working without the hot-shoe. My main concern is that P-TTL doesn't work with manual lenses, but i was wondering if i could use the flash in manual mode while it's operating wireless.

Okay, first off i'm sorry for asking this when all the information is readily available, but i'm still confused.
I have a K200D body with 5 'M' series lenses. I want to buy a flash, mostly for off-camera use. A fellow forum member is selling an AF-360fgz that has its hotshoe broken off. All the flashes wireless functions are still intact.
CAN i use this flash with any of my 'M' lenses, in ANY way possible?
Thanks.:o

Okay, so take a look at the images on the following site: Cole Rise
Now i don't know how to describe it but i love those rich but natural tones this photographer has in his/her images.
I'm not saying i want to copy said photographer but i've always been trying to achieve the same sort of look in my images, but i just can't get it right.
Does anyone have any suggestions of certain techniques or plug-in's i can use to get that awesome coloring? The only two plug-ins i currently use are Topaz Adjust and AlienSkin Exposure 2, which i'm both getting very bored of.
Any help is appreciated:o

So I was at Henry's earlier to drop of some Provia 400X to get sent out for dev.
The representative who helped me out started talking to me about the high prices for slide film and specifically the one i was dropping off.
He then started to explain an interesting way to use color neg film as slide film. He said that if i get a slow ISO color negative film, overexpose it by 5/6 stops (so shooting 100 speed film at like...4 ASA :o) and THEN push-develop it 1.5 stops in E-6 process, i will get useable slides.
Now i've known this guy for a while, he helped me by my first DSLR and whatnot, so i'm not going to doubt his knowledge...but has anyone else ever heard of this!?
I told him i've never seen the technique on forums or photography websites, and he told me it was because it's his own little invention. BUPP!
I'm going to try it out with a roll of Fuji Reala soon.
comments/feedback yada-yada :)

So my Dad found an old Hanimex TX-60 manual flash. I popped it on my MX and shot a role of cheap stuff just guessing exposure, since i have NO idea how to set the thing properly.
I developed the role, and all the pictures were severely underexposed, but i could still recover some image.
I had taken one shot of myself in my washroom mirror for technical purposes, and what do you know...the flash isn't even lit up (instead it's just giving off a slight glow like it does right after it fires).
I got my camera, opened the back door and put my eye where the film would be, i fired a shot up against a wall at 1/60th...i should have seen a bright circle for the split second the shutter opened, but instead i just saw darkness.
After fiddling around with the camera and flash for a bit, i plugged the unit into the second, lower port, and tried my little experiment again. Opened opened the back door and put my eye behind the shutter...fired a shot at 1/60th and BAM a bright white light pierced through the lens into my eye.
A tried a few more times trying the first flash port and i can confirm that only the second port is actually syncing the flash to the shutter. I know now to only use the second port but still...why is the first port pre-maturely firing the flash?
Someone explain?:(
