Yes, some fantastic plastic. These cameras are rock solid and preform flawlessly. The 8008 is a very capable piece of gear.

I want to say this film is Fuji 200. I forgot to take note before sending it off to the Darkroom. if it's not Fuji, then it was kodak 200. One or the other.

Thanks for the comment on my pic. Actually, my back yad is shady so I have to work harder at grabbing decent images while shooting there.

Yes, I am fully aware that this is a consumer lens and yes as I stated above, at the price point it will do. Unfortunately for me my budget keeps me below 500.00, but that would have been enough for the newer model. so perhaps I have a bit of buyer remorse due to the fact I should have just spent my money on the newer model. But all is not lost, I can make this lens work while I own it, but I definitely will be putting it on the Bay this winter.

I purchased this lens from a member on this site. I'm still waffling on how I feel about this glass. At the price point, I find it adequate. With good light it performs decent, other than that, well, it just isn't what I was hoping for. I am curious if the newer version is any better?

I have been blocked out of the forum for some time. I discovered my firewall was blocking the server number. I just figured it out and I am back.
I reshot the scale wide open, and the results are the same. I used the lens at my setting of minus 5, and everything looks pretty good. Thanks all for the help and support, it's appreciated.

 Quote: Honestly, the last thing to blame for not reaching new heights in your photographic experience is the gear. Sure, there is some stodgy equipment out there but just think of what was used back in the day. Those photographers were shooting with nothing close to what we have today and producing quality images. IMO, never blame the gear, or think a new camera or more expensive lens will put you over the top, 9 out of 10 times you will be disappointed.
One eye of the photographer looks wide open through the viewfinder, the other, the closed looks into his own soul.
