She doesn't seem amused, Dude! *fg* I don't normally like cat content, but this picture makes me smile. :):)
More animals here... we called this model (Citroën 2CV) in Germany "Ente", means 'Duck'. White Ducklings by xs4all HD FA 31mm Limited F1.8 @ K-1 II

It was like new in the box at a great price :)
Not yet. I hope to give the lens a workout in the coming weeks. Thanks!

Looks like a keeper and you use it well.
I haven't tried the Sears 50/1.7, though I do have the older Auto Rikenon 50/1.7. I've got so many 50s I don't use it much, but I like it.
I also have the Auto Sears 55/1.4 and the Auto Rikenon 55/1.4. They are definitely the same lens.

2 1/2 years later... the dlub lives again
Got me an Auto Sears 50mm f/1.7 again... but this time I got the older model, metal construction with the recessed front element and 45cm MFD, instead of the one I had previously which was mostly plastic, almost pancake, 60cm MFD. Both models are rebranded Rikenons, this one is extremely similar in construction to my RIkenon XR 50mm f/1.4.
These were wide open.
And this is the lens (from the eBay auction): |

@paulh I think #1 came out very well (the rose pops out) and the other two are fine as well. To my knowledge, only 3x (max.) zooms are considered sharp and your Tamron is 11x! My Sigma 28-300 is quite sharp up to about 100mm but needs to step down to f/14 to get decently sharp shots at the very tele end.
Interesting cloud formations the current freezing weather brought. Pentax Optio S60 + post processing in GMIC.
