I'm not very educated on the different models available.
I landed on a Canon Pixma Pro 200 and absolutely love it.

I use an at-home kit to develop my B&W and only B&W.
For me, digital is for colour and film will do B&W.
I use a plastic Paterson kit where I develop two rolls of 36 at a time.
I make bulk stopper and fix with Ilford concentrate.
Usually use a rodinal developer.
I have a 'black bag' instead of a darkroom.
I stick my hands in the elastic holes in the bag and pull out the film and load into the plastic rolls blind and all by touch inside the bag.
It definitely is a learning curve to get it right, but I'm fairly confident with it now.
What did you find so beneficial by using a metal tank over plastic? ---------- Post added 03-13-24 at 02:14 PM ----------
aerial photography? like remote sensing?
that's pretty cool stuff

That the same method I use.
I have since found it best to export those images immediately once they are flipped - then use those exported images to further edit in Lightroom.
This way the remaining sliders are not reversed in LR.

I want to put this out there for a possibility:
The LX, when in Auto mode, has an extremely wide range of shutter speeds to choose from, especially slower ones.
If you are in Auto mode, and the lens cap is on, you could be waiting for 120 seconds before the mirror drops back down.

imo, they could sell these for cheap and fund the next one, and the next one, and then a mechanical SLR.
This was their plan from the beginning, iirc

Some camera within the Pentax lineup have shutter actuation count life span estimations.
However, these entry-level cameras have no official estimation. For many, it's generally considered to be 50,000 actuations. Check Camera Shutter Count and Manufacture Date |

ooooh another potential here:
what lens are you using?
Some old large telephotos have HUGE minimum focus distance requirement.

6 sentences is now 3 paragraphs ... ?
The response writing was fine.
The only potential issue is that the reader read it with a presupposed negative tone.

Hello friends :)
I've put together a quick n' dirty PentaxTips video demonstrating how I access the focus screen for cleaning out dirt and dust in a Pentax SuperProgram.
This is the same procedure for the Super A, Program A, and Program Plus, as well as the ME F.
I'm not certain if this is the 'right' procedure that a camera tech would recommend - however, the results worked well enough for me :)
I'm a bit embarrassed with how much a squished the mirror bumper foam while holding the cage in place...
but hey! we are all here to learn from my mistakes, no?
Curious to know what you think of my video?
Have you found a better way to complete this process?
Let me know what you think! Youtu.be |
