One of the photography websites that I regularly visit is the Lens Rentals Blog.
They do the best and most thorough lens testing that I've seen published on the Internet.
Today I was reading a post on this blog by Roger Cicala. He's the "the founder of pntrs.com/t/TUJGRktHSkJHRkpISUVCRkpOSkVN?url=Lensrentals.com, and is hailed as one of the optic nerds there."
Obviously, as the founder/owner of pntrs.com/t/TUJGRktHSkJHRkpISUVCRkpOSkVN?url=Lensrentals.com he has the ability to shoot any camera he chooses. This is what he says about his cameras of choice - "When I do take real pictures I like using something different: a Medium format, or Pentax K1, or a Sony RX1R." I find that to be very high praise for the K1 camera, that a true optical expert like Roger chooses the K1 as his full-frame DSLR camera of choice!
Given Roger's affection for the K1, I hope (and expect) that he will do a review of the upcoming K1ii camera. You might want to bookmark his blog (like I have) and periodically check it to see his future reviews of cameras and lenses that you might be interested in.

you are 100 % correct, the quick release clip did not fail
the cloth ?? section was doubled through the triangular shaped attachment point on the upper right of the camera body as designed
so I have no idea
don't know how long I had it but certainly less than 5 years, max 18 - 24 months at a guess

Is a composite image ok? This is a composite of three images, all taken from the same spot minutes apart. If it's not eligible I'll come up with something else.
