Would love to see it happen, especially since it's just firmware. ---------- Post added 02-26-16 at 02:35 AM ----------
I've seen information that having SR in the ON mode in Movie mode adds to the heat of the sensor. As your using a tripod you shouldn't need it anyway.
Good luck. ---------- Post added 02-26-16 at 02:38 AM ----------
Thanks for the information. It's a weird world.

There is no option of turning off the screen in Movie Mode. You will notice that Display Off is not an option when you enter Info twice. The best idea is to reduce the brightness of the screen (Menu) and see if that helps. Otherwise take a look at using the AC adapter kit K-AC115. Overheating of the sensor is common when used for long periods. It's why there is a 25 minute time limit.

Just started with the Q-S1 -2 lens kit. First time taking night time street shots. Very impressed. Still have a lot to learn of how to get the most from this camera. Should be fun.
The images can have a bit of noise in the shadows but it doesn't take much to clean them up and its not there all the time.

Just starting with my Q-S1 and looked at some of the available non-Pentax OVFs and went with Pentax, even with the price. Liked the focal length framing.
During my investigating I never did see a good image showing the framing lines of the O-VF1 so thought I would do one myself. The 3/4 image is from three images stacked together so the whole camera body is in focus.
