I would stick with APSC if you don't need to upgrade. There is a better lens selection currently. Look at the K3ii or its upcoming replacement if you want to stay with Pentax..you should be able to get a reasonable price since it is discontinued.

No I wouldn't suggest using pixel shift for moon shots without an astrotracer. I am terrible at astrophotography and was amazed the moon came out at all. I was expecting more aberrations.

Here is the moon from tonight taken with my K3ii using pixel shift and a pentax DA L 1:4 - 5.8 55-300mm lens.

I love my K-3 II so far! PS seems to only be good for absolutely stationary subject only..I have tried it with trees but I keep getting aberrations. It is great for macro photos though.
