Samyang 135/2.0
This lens puts all my other lenses to shame, It is VERY sharp across the entire frame (full frame) even when fully open. I'm a pixel peeper and I'm amazed.

It was way too cold to be futzing around with a tripod, and I wasn't terribly prepared. I went to the post office to pick up the lens, and when I came out, there was a sunset happening. What's guy to do? New lens, sunset, bought the camera, but not the warm boots.
K-1 FDA 28-105
800 ISO, ƒ8 exposures around 1/250s.
It is usually cold, but, it's giving us unusual light.

It's super cld here -25 at the moment. We'll have to wait until this afternoon when it get all the way up to -16º C to walk the dogs. It' too cold for their feet right now.

A few types of uses of remote control:
1. Time-lapse photography where one does not want to physically touch the camera for fear of changing the alignment between frames;
2. Astrophotography on cold nights -- taking pictures while staying in a warm sleeping bag, tent, or car;
3. Wildlife photography without erecting a giant blind;
4. Multitasking: being able to do other things but check & control the camera.
In short, if you don't want to disturb the camera, disturb the subject, or sit around as a slave to the camera in unpleasant weather, then remote control would be nice.

This is the sort of thing where I'd love it...the camera was just about flat on the ground and the left side was pressed up against the tree so most flipout screens wouldn't have worked. Firing blind I hit the framing I wanted the first go, because I'm awesome.
For the many, many, many times I've tried this and missed the awesome mark by several country blocks, a remote screen would be a boon. At least, I imagine it would:).

Although this lens is so called kit lens for K-1, it is really impressive. I really love it. Big minus is that this lens does not have focusing scale. Quite hard is to focus at night. But overall, really good one for this value.
So some shots from me with K-1.

Short version:
1. In camera: I put the camera on a tripod and focused on part of the moth. For each shot, I slightly turned the focus ring to move the focus and took a shot each time trying to overlap the areas in focus with each shot. The picture from this post was 20 images (accidentally typed 22 by mistake in the previous thread), each with a slightly different part in focus.
2. In Lightroom: Add all of the pictures you took into Lightroom. Process one of them, then select all of the images and copy the settings (Right-click > Develop Settings > Sync Settings) of that processed pic to the rest of them so that they are all processed with the same settings. Then export to JPEG.
3. In Photoshop: Go to File > Scripts > Load Files into Stack. Choose Browse and select all of your photos that you just exported from Lightroom. Remember to check the box that says Attempt to Automatically Align Source Images, and press OK. This may take a minute depending on how many images you have. Once they are all stacked and aligned, look at your window that shows all of the layers. Select every layer, then go to Edit > Auto Blend Layers. It will take another moment to do this. Once it's done, crop and save.
Long Version. I decided to make the long tutorial for those who may not be familiar with where everything is in LR or PS. Also, to show the workflow and gain opinions on what could be done better.
1. Do the camera work as described in Step 1 above. You should have a series of images that look something like this with a narrow band of focus:
2. Choose and process one of the images. Don't bother cropping or straightening right now. This can be done later.
3. Go back to Library and select all of your images. Then Right-Click, mouse down to Develop Settings, and choose Sync Settings.
4. You'll get this popup. I didn't use any Local Adjustments, and I didn't Crop. So I chose all but those. Click Syncronize.
5. Now, all of your images have the same settings applied. Export them as JPEGs. With all of them still selected, Right-Click on one, mouse down to Export, and choose Export.
6. Put them somewhere that you can easily find them. I chose to use the same location as the original files, but in a new subfolder.
7. Once they are finished Exporting, go to Photoshop. It's time to bring them all in as layers. Go to File, mouse down to Scripts, and choose Load Files into Stack.
8. You'll now see this popup. Choose Browse, find the photos that you just Exported and select all of them. Press OK.
9. You should now see all of the file names loaded into this window. Remember to check the box that says Attempt to Automatically Align Source Files. Press OK.
10. You should see something that looks like this. My tripod isn't the best, so you can see where Photoshop had to line everything up.
11. Select all of the layers.
12. Once you have all of the layers selected, go to Edit and choose Auto Blend Layers.
13. You'll get this popup. Choose Stack Images, and check the box that says Seamless Tones and Colors. Press OK. This will take a moment to do depending on how many photos you have, or how large your photos are.
14. Once it is done, you should see something like this. A subject in full focus.
15. Now to combine all of the layers into one single image. Choose Layer, then Merge Visible.
16. Crop as needed and Save.
(You can see poor camera technique on my part where I missed a few frames around the edges that aren't in focus. They show up as blurred lines. I blame it on the tripod. :) )
Hope this helps. Any comments, criticism, or suggestions for changes in workflow are welcomed. This is a technique that I have been reading about and finally decided to try.

A shot from early this morning from K-1, Pentax HD 150-450 f4.5-5.6, and Tamron F 1.4x Pz-AF MC4 Teleconverter. Works delightfully in these conditions, although I noticed some corner vignetting in another shot that had a pure white background. The lens and TC combination focused well in quite low light (cloudy early morning). 1/60th, f6.3, ISO 3200. Ability to hand-hold at 450mm times 1.4 at 1/60th and quickly get focus with this combination was excellent.
Post-processing: uncropped from full-frame DNG, resize to 1024 pixels wide and sharpen. No noise reduction applied (at ISO3200 wow!)
I will try out my Kenko TC later and post another shot.

Just called to Pentax Germany. They say that the EU warranty is actual for the country of purchase, so if you buy in Germany it will be covered only in Germany. But, you can ask for international warranty card from the dealer before placing the order and dealer will/can contact Ricoh and ask for the international warranty card to be included in the purchase.

A few more AFC tracking shots: a burst of 17 images with AFC tracking, 100% keeper (with trees and branches in the way of the target).

I'm sure it'll still be slow and smooth as it always has been, just more accurate thanks to the PDAF.
I'd say that yes, it would be a nice upgrade. The AF will also be faster as the K-70 has the more sensitive SAFOX X from the K-5 II. However, if you want a really big burst buffer then the K-3 or K-3 II would be the way to go.
The K-70's buffer is 40 JPEG/8 RAW based on the specs, whereas the K-3 can do at least 50/24, and that's at 8.3 FPS. At 5 FPS it will get you even more.

I take my K-30 to the beach with my 18-135. When I leave I wash it off with the surf gear, same shower. People stare.
The K-30 is an offroad beast.
