Hi All,
I picked up a nearly new K-S2 a little while ago and have found it good for the most part, however, it seems finding absolute focus at times can be hit and miss.
E.g. I was taking pictures of a detailed ornament in the house to check focus, and it would seem that it would fade in/out of focus on where I was focusing when checking.
It got better if I went from f5.6 to f8 and then seemed pretty stable.
I was using 1 single autofocus point, jpeg settings were the same throughout, aperture priority and I had antishake on and also tried it off (didn't make a difference) the lens is the 18-50.
Does the lens need fine AF adjustment or is there something else at play here?
Thanks.

Hi All,
I've been playing around with video mode, and while I know it isn't a strength of the camera I was wondering whether the autofocus is meant to be so slow?
It seems to take forever to snap in after pressing the AF button on the back whereas manual focusing is really quite quick as expected.
Also, is the focus peaking also meant to be quite faint (and white only?)
Thanks

OK - thanks,
Yes does it without a lens on. [only have one lens]
Should I return it then?

Checked lens, it seems fine? Took it off and put back on, made sure it was all lined up fine and it clicked into place.
Reset factory settings (reset under menu?)
Still doing the same thing.
Any other ideas? ---------- Post added 02-12-16 at 01:28 PM ---------- More specific info:

Hi All,
Got one of these come today and just noticed that I can't get auto mode or scene mode working.
Just goes into bulb mode or manual mode on each of them.
I've reset settings and no change. Any ideas why this is?
Also seem to get blurry images a bit, anything I'm doing wrong? (probably!)
THanks.
