Beautiful!
Yours has a s/n starting with "5", so it should have the brass gears as well. Nice pickup.

I found my K18/3.5 at a local camera store's used section. It had the case, but no hood.
Took a long time to find the 58mm hood for the three K Series wide angle lenses (K18/3.5, K20/4 & K24/3.5) and they were not cheap. The hood also has two versions, the one pictured above is the newer one and the older one does not have the K18/3.5 listed, as it was not released yet.

Yeah I've got the lowest s/n K18/3.5 listed, but mine's the second version???? Makes no sense.

The price of the 105/2.4 has gone way up over the last few years. Someone is selling one locally for $1k Canadian...
Brilliant shot as well!!

The AF400T works great on my 67 & 6x7 via the special optional grip.

Yep, just for shooting at f/1.2. Whole new experience at that aperture that none of my other Pentax 50mm-55mm lenses can match.
But if you're not into shooing wide open, then yes skip the 50/1.2

Here's a copy of the Pentax telephoto manual that covers the 2000mm lens. Also one former forum member had one and posted a review. PENTAX SMC 500MM OPERATING MANUAL Pdf Download | ManualsLib
Pentax at one point did make removable lens mounts for third party 35mm cameras, for the older M42 500mm/1000mm telephoto lenses. Thought not for larger format cameras.

The optics on the 100/4 macro are better than the 105/2.4. (The 105/2.4 is a more versatile lens overall, so it depends on how much macro shooting you do)

Strange that the hood for the AF35-70 is different than the manual M35-70/2.8-3.5. That hood is a two part one, with a 58mm to 67mm step up ring between the filter and outer part of the lens hood.

Nope, I always go four the Japanese released version of a camera if it was different in North America. Example the Super A/Super Program. There are a ton of used Super Programs here in Vancouver that I could have bought and not have to pay shipping for, but I bought a Super A from the UK instead.

Yep and there was also a Spotmatic MD. A camera store in Vienna had one for sale a few years back at an exorbitant price.

Yep the Autorobo was the only Pentax flash available during the K Series as well. I do collect Pentax flashes and have a couple of them.

I love my Luna Pro SBC and use it frequently with my meter-less 6x7 & 67 cameras.
I always feel like Captain Kirk taking a Tricorder reading when using it...

I've got a photo store 1/2 block from where I live with a ton of quality used camera gear, including Pentax. Very dangerous when I go inside....
As a bonus all the used gear has a warranty, so if something goes wrong you can return it.
Prices are very good as well and you can make offers.

Yeah I tend to use my Gossen light meter more than my Spotmeter these days, for that reason. Looks more like a Tricorder than a gun. :hmm:
