I've been super impressed with Pentax-M 135 f/2.8. Like... jaw dropping impressed. I'm still getting used to manual focus, and sometimes miss shots as a result, but my good ones turn out pretty darn good.

BTW, I've just come across this thread, with much the same project in mind. Comparing the legacy lenses. :)


The sharpness on this picture killed me when I threw it on my monitor.

Having spent some time with Zeiss glass, which for some reason tends to the cold side of the temperature spectrum, I was really happy with the way colors were coming out of this lens without needing fiddlilng.

My friends are looking to maybe go through my collection of lenses for their own cameras, and really like to see bokeh. So I was just messing around with shots, trying to get some defined flowers in the near background.

I was curious how the bokeh would work with a more urban background. Still impressed.

I can't believe this lens costs as little as it does... I'm flabbergasted by its abilities.
