Canon slow how? Even old 5D1 is whizz-bang dead on as soon as AF is activated with USM lens. And that is slow compared to D4+ series Nikon. This is AF-S mode with center AF point. I have one AF lens for Pentax currently - 100mm WR macro. Using center point it gives me "WHIRRRRR buzz-zzzzup-zap" and usually misses target at medium-long distance.
