One can use small sensor camera and average exposures for better results than one-shot large sensor can provide. Huawei and Google already do this with their advanced phones and it works very well. So very well that large sensor camera manufacturers will drop out if they do not take advantage of such features. Modern Pentax DSLR cameras already have basic averaging but they could do much more given enough processing power. Of course, such features should be options, not forced.
