That gorgeous sailing picture by rob1234 got me searching thru old pictures for one sailing picture that I'm pretty sure that I took with my phone, but can't find it from the files of either of my phones. Instead I found couple of others I'd like to share.

It's almost may and still no sign of spring. Weather and snow is what's it expected to be in the end of march. Slopes are in perfect condition and I heard that in the back country the powder has been exceptionally good last couple of weeks. According to weather forecast situation should not chance in immediate future. Instead we should have new snowfall day after tomorrow.
Normally at this time we are skiing on the last remainders of the snow and surfing on the ponds at the bottom of the slopes. Resort closes may 7th. By forecast the night temperatures will stay below zero until then, which means that spring doesn't really come before the end of the season. Very strange. I have never seen a spring like this.

Back in the northern Finland. Shortest day was about a week ago, but daylight still pretty limited. Lights are on on the slopes thru the day and they really help the visibility. Sun came up about 11am. These pictures are from mid day at 1pm. The day was quite warm for the clear sky. Only -5 C. Which can be seen on the pictures as the colors are quite warm and not the typical cold pastel colors of winter sky of Lapland.
