My fourth overnight trip to Kofa's Queen Canyon area in two weeks. This time to capture the full moon rising and setting over the Kofa Mountains an hour north of home. Used the all of the dynamic range of the K-1 for this one, and I actually desaturated the yellow moon to keep it as I think it was. Yes, you can see the sky is a bit splotchy, but I don't want to mess with it any more right now. Processed in Lightroom, Photoshop CC, Luminar 3, Topaz Denoise AI, and Topaz Sharpen AI.

Just a shot from scouting full moon rise in the Kofa Mountains north of Yuma, AZ. Using the K-1. The moon rose 9 deg. to the south the next night, so had to adjust location somewhat. I'll post those later.

No fishing action today, but some nice light, fog, and some co-operation from the fauna.

A few from this morning. The Osprey dropped the trout two frames after this shot, and a White Pelican scooped it up seconds later. Missed that opportunity though.

Three from early this morning. ---------- Post added 02-16-20 at 04:01 PM ----------
Nicely done. Looks like there is some blood on a few of those quills.

On my sixth consecutive morning at my new favorite bird pond I was rewarded with an Osprey plucking a small trout less than twenty meters in front of me. I had to zoom out for the first few shots, and was so exited, I forgot to zoom in again as he/she flew away. Still managed to get a few interesting ones though.

Thank you. I've been retired now for a year, and I'm finally able to spend the time I want doing what I love most.

Not as much luck this morning at the pond, but thought this image was interesting. First rays of sunshine highlighting these two white pelicans through the fog.

Thanks, Marcel. Not much to add to the fine points you mentioned. I guess practice would be another ingredient. After 28 years of serious photography, I've come to realize that practice has to be one of the top three or four most valuable tools for me. Your milage may vary.
FYI I use Lightroom for cataloguing and primary processing, PS CC for secondary processing, Luminar 3 for final processing (mainly clarity and boost ), and Topaz Sharpen AI/Noise AI also. I hope this helps.

Some shots of an Osprey hovering over a pond early this morning. Had the KP on the 150-450. Shots are much sharper than they appear on this forum. Don't know why they soften when uploading here.

Was out early this morning trying to find the family of bobcats living in one of our town parks, and stumbled upon this antique truck sitting on blocks in good light, and with a great background. Two versions for you.
290mm @f/9, 1/250 and ISO 1600. Handheld.

These wild horses wandered in from the nearby desert for some fresh alfalfa and irrigation water. Luckily the farmers have not yet chased them off. Taken with K1.

Here are four more from my current favorite location (Smoke Tree Point).
All taken between 6:02 and 6:46 last evening as a storm was clearing.
All at 450mm, f/8, on a tripod, and utilizing PS. One of them is cropped to 16:9.
Oh, and captured with the K1.

Very nice shots. Of course, it looks similar to our Porcupines here in the states. I notice one of the quills has red on it. Blood perhaps?

Find myself returning to this spot again and again to see how many different lighting situations I can capture. This day saw many puffy clouds about. These three shots were taken 16 minutes apart. I found it interesting how the passing clouds supplemented the existing layers. I just can't stop using the 150-450 for landscape shots.
